Can you name all the TV/movie robots in this picture?

Scooter, teh Cybermen, the Dalek and the T800 aren't robots, they're cyborgs. well, the Dalek's not, but the others are. Daleks are organic creatures in a mechanical travel machine.

FAIL!

[/geek rant]

I didn't spot them myself but mr trampledamage pointed out Huey, Dewey and (what's left of) Louie from (I think) Slient Running. That made me sniffle a bit.

Here are the robots I see:

The Lost In Space T.V. Series Robot.

A Gort from the original The Day the Earth Stood Still

ED-209 from Robocop

I see a robot from a movie I cannot remember the name of, the water-heater looking thing on the far right, back row.

I see the robot helper/C3PO stand-in from Spaceballs.

Robbie the Robot

"Joe Pesci Bot" from the last two Transformer movies.

The battle droid from the Star Wars Prequels.

Robot Bill and Ted from "Bogus Journey"

Maria from Metropolis

Johnny-5 from Short Circuit

C3PO

Cylon from new B5 series.

Matrix "robot."

"Sonny" from the I, Robot movie.

Robin Williams-bot from Bicentennial Man.

Bender

E.V.E. from Wall-E

Tin Woodsman from Wizard of Oz (I'll leave it to you to decide on whether this is a "robot" or not.)

Robot from "Portal" videogame series.

Calculon from Futurama

One of the robots from "A.I." (the one with the head coming out of the chest.)

Marvin from the old BBC version of Hitchhiker's Guide...

Marvin from the movie version of HHG2G from a few years ago.

Tom Servo

Wall-E

The floor-scrubbing robot from Wall-E

Rosie the Robot (Jetsons)

Flying robot from Batteries not Included.

NOMAD from TOS

The "Bad Robot" robot, J.J. Abrams' production company.

The robot Screech made on "Saved by the Bell."

K-9 from Doctor Who (I think there's a couple of versions of this one.)

Dalek from Doctor Who

R2-D2

I see a couple of nameless robots from Episode IV from the Jawa ship.

Henry Vacuum (shop-vac company design/company logo.)

One of the robotic cops from THX 1138

JINX from "Space Camp."

Machine-Humping robot from Robot Chicken.

That's about all I can pick out, there's others I know I know but can't think of their names or where exactly where they are from. Since Tom Servo is in there I'm surprised Crow, Gypsy and some version of Cambot are not in there (unless they are and I simply have not found them.) And depending on how broadly you want to call something a robot I'm also surprised Data and Robocop are not in this.

You know as soon as that popped up my first thought is "I wonder if they have the robot from Rocky IV in there" and sure enough there he was on the lower-right.

Was also impressed to see "Three Hams Will Kill Him" Thundercleese, a Farscape repair bot, and Peace from that old Ralph Bakshi movie. I recognized at least a couple of dozen others.

I did find Wall-E too.

I found him, but it seems like they left out quite a few. Unless I missed him, where's Number 5 from the Short Circuit movies? That was one of my favourite robots from my childhood.

^^ And above and to the top left of both of them is the guardian robot from Laputa: Castle In The Sky.

Also, Twiki appears to be carrying Dr. Theopolis, and the Telebug Samantha is accompanied by her sidekick Mic.

robot from bride of chaotica (Star Trek Voyager)

Actually, not quite.

The robot you're seeing is a "popular" robot used in a lot of 1950s movies, most notably "Dr.Satan's Robot" the one from earlier I couldn't point out. Though the design in Voyager was heavily influenced by Dr. Satan's Robot as was the entire Cpt. Proton program.

I noticed another robot, the robot from "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians."

One of the kids shows we had that used to show that serial referred to them as "Bin Men." :guffaw:

I am not sure Evil Edna really counts as a robot, more of a possessed television really.

Wall-E is not hard to spot; there's not enough clutter for him to really be hidden. I don't think Daleks qualify as robots.

Not sure about Nick Chopper (The Tin Woodsman) either, as he was human in the beginning, and his tin parts prosthetic replacements for limbs lost in logging accidents (Caused by a curse upon him by one of the Wicked Witches).

I would love to know who they all are and from where. Is there a key somewhere (question to the OP)? What an awesome picture.

Sorry, due to living in New Zealand, I was asleep when you posted! ;)

Anyway, here's the info on what's going on *LINK*

There's a 'blank' image with all the robots numbered, but no answers will be available until the contest is over.

I've been looking at this for the past forty-five minutes. I can recognize about 1/3rd of them now.

I'm counting 4 from Futurama and 3 from Wall-E.

There's a few I recognize but can't remember where they're from: that dog right above the robot from Rocky IV, for example. Also that V shaped robot to the right of Matrix-bot.

Was I the only one who recognized the robot from Venus in Target: Earth (he's the boxy one, third to the right from GORT, in the top row)? And I don't think anybody's mentioned Box, a little down and a smidge to the right from GORT (he's from Logan's Run)

I can't believe how many of these I recognized. When I saw the robot from "The Secret Empire", I knew I had been watching too much TV over the last 40 years. :)
