John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron Paul

Re: John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron P

The reason Paul should be ignored is because he has said stuff like this:

No, he shouldn't be elected because of things like that. The media still has a duty not to ignore his place in those results, though. Arguably, they'd be justified in including that information at the same time as giving the results, but pretending he doesn't exist isn't honest news reporting.

Re: John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron P

If we're ignoring candidates who spout ignorance, bad policies, and bigotry, than how do you justify excluding coverage of Ron Paul while including coverage of Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, or others?

Who says I justify their coverage? People so profoundly, yet defiantly ignorant should not be tolerated as office seekers, or as people for that matter. If you're ignorant, fine. Not everyone likes keeping up with the news. If you're opinionated, fine. Doing both is grating.

Well, that's kind of like the entire point of the thread. Why the other candidates were being covered but Ron Paul was not.

Paul/Paul in 2012!

Paul/Paul in 2012!

He'll never be elected President. Ever. Plus, while I can like some things about Ron Paul, his son Rand Paul is a total scumbag.

Re: John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron P

What about RuPaul? Vote! :)

Re: John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron P

^ Yeah, cause the mainstream theories that "discredited" him are doing such a wonderful job.

It wasn't the gold standard that caused the crisis.

Neither was the Black Death, but I doubt you'd be saying we'd be better off if that was still around.

Re: John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron P

That's a good point. A lot of young people have no experience with high standards in journalism.

I don't think too many old people have seen it either. Sure, we remember Murrow and Cronkite but there were plenty of awful ones back then, too.
That's true, but at least there was that standard.

Paul/Paul in 2012!

Well, that should be about the same kind of global disaster of epic proportions as the last time we got two Pauls together in the Wonderful Christmas Time video.

Don't cross the Pauls. Crossing the Pauls would be bad. Important safety tip.

Re: John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron P

And last night Jon Stewart utterly slams Fox News and their side in the debate on fixing the debt and the class warfare.

First part of segment. - Where Fox News attacks Warren Buffet and claims he is a socialist.

Second part of segment. - Where Fox News says the poor are "poor" because 99% of them have refrigerators.

Re: John Stewart slams MSNBC, CBS, Fox News and CNN for ignoring Ron P

As of Tuesday, I have no refrigerator. I must be destitute. :(

He sort of tries to rebrand the GOP, he is in a tough spot, but the GOP is becoming more isolationist in terms of foreign policy.

It would take me decades to become a financial expert, but the interesting question is what would he do if he would get elected.
