    We successfully wrapped day 1 of our 2-day location shoot, despite 100+ temp and high humidity. We start earlier Sunday in hopes of wrapping principle photography.

    Awesome!

    I generally lurk these threads watching for updates... but this is worth a comment!

    I can't wait to see this, guys!

    And thus begins the constant fan-film equivalent of "are we there yet".

    Seriously, guys, this looks spectacular... and I'll be looking forward to seeing it when it is truly good and ready.

    How about tomorrow :evil:

    I think this is one of those moments that proves the old adage, that you can judge the quality of a man by his friends.

    Dennis was being funny. For my 3 dots he did 2 then one. How many others picked up on him doing that? Dennis ca be very subtle in his humor. We gotta be paying attention folks.:)

    At least I got my eyes open in this one - more or less. I think it's right before I succumbed.

    I'm the geezer on my knees, in case there was any doubt.

    The folks standing are, from left to right:

    Romel Punsal - our lighting and grip department, who also plays "Azra," our navigator;
    Frank Hernandez - "Tony Suarez," ship's mechanic;
    Carl Leonard - Our lead sound guy on this shoot, also a background player;
    Maurice Molyneaux - Producer, 1st A.D., project editor, graphic artist and gods know what else, also a background player;
    Rick Pike - Craft services, which doesn't begin to cover everything he did for us. John Broughton was referring to him as "my lord and savior" halfway through Sunday afternoon, as Rick was constantly watching over everyone and coming to their aid in the extreme heat and humidity of the location;
    Eric Ebersole - "Frank Hudson," ship's engineer;
    Gina Hernandez - "Doctor Valerie Young," chief scientist aboard Polaris;
    Barry Dunaway - Supervisor for the company that graciously allowed us to use their site as the planet "Phaidros;"
    Paul R. Sieber - "Sam Fredericks," also a producer on the project;
    Susan Cirrincione - "January 'Howie' Howard," intelligence officer assigned to Polaris;
    Dean Rogers - set photographer and a background player;
    Doug Caprette - Associate producer and a background player;
    Tonya Broughton - Makeup;
    John Broughton - "Marine Sergeant Brooks," also co-producer.

    A great many of our crew are not pictured here as they, of course, were still working (no rest for the weary). I'll get some more pictures up later, but they include Alex Ibrahim (Director of Photography), Paula Bailey (sound and production) and Cynthia Lin (1st Camera).

    These folks are, one and all, the very best cast and crew and just all-around group of human beings I've ever had the privilege to work with and I'm forever in their debt.

    Believe me, it's a great relief.

    It's also rather a sad moment. This group has bonded pretty strongly in so many ways. There's not a prima donna, a complainer or dysfunctional egotist in the bunch (possibly excluding yours truly, but who can see oneself as others see one).

    We've all become good friends.

    Here's a nice photo of all the costumed players who appeared in the last shot of the shoot, a wide pan across an alien landscape with 10 of the Polaris crew exploring this planet that should not exist.
