I was thinking after the teaser with CA that after all this build up, the Avengers better be pretty damn awesome. I have confidence in Marvel and Joss Whedon, so I'm pretty sure it will be. But there will be alot of really pissed people (myself included) if it sucks.

No, what is important is a good story and faithfulness to the original material. Worrying about gender balance or ethnic balance or "power balance" sounds like that political correctness crap that is ruining this country.

Interesting. They just announced Hawkeye as a new character for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 tie in with the upcoming Avengers movie, I'm sure.

Marvel- Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, Rocket Racoon and Nova
Capcom: Firebrand (Red Arremer), Strider Hiryu, Phoenix Wright, Virgil, Nemesis and Frank West.

Jonathon Hickman is also writing an Ultimate Hawkeye mini-series that was announced a couple months ago so yeah they're doing their best to promote the character heavily. The 616 version is supposed to be involved in a relationship with

I've never heard of Rocket Raccoon before. I just looked him up on Wikipedia and he sounds like a fun character.

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted here yet. We have art concept posters for three Shield agents (Fury, Agent Coulson, and what looks to be Maria Hill) and then Thor (with his father and Loki)

Yeah, I'm eagerly awaiting the official HD version. In the theater some of the stuff flashed so fast it was hard to tell exactly what was going on and the leaked version was so blurry I couldn't see a damned thing.

Hulk Smash!!!! He looks good. Yeah, these may just be art character posters but they were a great idea. I hope they mirror them in a few months with their real life counterparts.

Isn't he supposed to look a little like Ruffalo? Or is it only that Ruffalo is going to be able to, for the first time, control the facial expressions via motion capture.
