Kind of a moot point, since she's not old enough to buy a gun.Anyhoo, to stay on topic...or at least in the same general area according to ninjacore, black people should have to wait 50 years to be free of slavery and oppression by the government, but she should have the right to carry a gun wherever she wants, and she wants that liberty to stay available right now, instead of waiting.
Maybe Daddy buys them for her.
I'm sure she'd be okay with another 50 years of slavery if it meant her getting her right to buy a gun a few years sooner. According to her posts, no black person's rights are too disposable as long as she gets what she wants when she wants it.
Also, I contest the 50 years estimate.
The only reason emancipation happened when it did was because the the necessary conditions were met--which was no small feat. Had things otherwise gone along as is, it would have probably been up to (or even through) the Second World War and probably not until the 60s. In other words, the civil rights movement would have been the "free the slaves" movement. In that case, it's an entire century.
The fact that there is currently a fringe movement to return to indentured servitude (a happy-go-lucky name for slavery) speaks volumes. Yes it's fringe, but the fringe is getting bigger.
50 years. 100 years. Doesn't matter as long as she gets that badass steel.
