Assuming there's any truth in the story at all I expect the real world version of events was far less exciting and simply came down to scheduling conflicts between the Xmas Special and her work on her own series.

Saw all of (the sitcom) Not Going Out the other day and I was pleasantly amused by her showing.

Peter Davison is a reocurring on her show.

I just find it off when Peter's on TV but not Doctor Who.

It usually takes a few thousand posts before someone is so cynical.
