Torchwood is to perverted...

The sex scenes on this show are rather tame. The only one that I recall that was pretty explicit was the bathroom sex scene where the alien takes the life force of the guy once he climaxes.

Tried watching some episodes again and ick, before I commence this is not me railing against gay hook ups...but the show is so fake, I have worked with guys and girls and from what I have seen only "some" of the people I worked with were gay or bi, not 99.9% of them like on the show, the gay hook ups just seem so forced like the show is saying their is no such thing as straight people, there are only gay people, and the really gay or bi ones are always portrayed as whores and man sluts, never one who maintains a longterm partner without cheating, a bisexual person can choose to settle down with someone from either sex, and be happy with that one person, they are not all wired to be sex crazed maniacs, I find their attempt at Politically Correct sex lives to actually be insulting of the non straight people...I consider myself bisexual and I don't appreciate all the characters being portrayed like that...
Do you consider your own sexuality a perversion?

No I do not, bc i don't bounce around beds like a beach ball trading hands on the beach...I don't cheat on people then pretend like I love them, it's called being faithful to someone and looking past immediate gratification, an ability lacking in Torchwood, i've seen animals have greater contol over their sex drive then season 1.

Mentioning Sex & The City, what are you trying to do to the poor woman?

Sex and what???, i'm sorry I blocked that name out of my mind years ago, don't know what you are talking about.

You what - where is this alternate world series of Torchwood you've been watching!? The only character who is unfaithful is Gwen and she is hetrosexual.

At a push you could say Jack was unfaithful to Ianto with Captain Jack Harkness but barely.

I think your view of this, like your opinion of Britain is somewhat at odds with reality.

The tone of the thread title seems to me to indicate a fairly obvious disgust with the topic.

I hear the PC police coming, their sirens are getting louder...

ninjacore, I suggest you tone down the rhetoric and now. People are trying to discuss this matter with you, as provocatively as you started it. Consider this a friendly recommendation, to help you avoid getting an infraction. :vulcan:

You must find most scripted television programs perverted as well. Randy behavior isn't limited to Torchwood.

He was 'orrible.

You only say that because he never made you cum so hard you forgot where you were... Though presumably most people he has sex with forget where they are because of the drugs rather than anything else.

There was once a maze in Doctor Who Magazine with a caption that said something like, "Owen made you come so hard you forgot where you were. Can you make it back to the Hub?" or whatever. I laughed.

:guffaw:

That almost makes up for this thread reminding me of that utterly asinine plot development.

I have to say as a total gay that some (not all) of the gay content was a tad cringeworthy, simple because it seemed so gratuitious. For instance Gwen walking in on Jack and Ianto going for it was just painful, and to me it seemed totally out of place, irrelevant, and was really only put there to shock and perhaps fill in time. On the other hand, for some reason I found the scene (I think from the first episode) when Owen used the love potion to lure in that girl, and then her boyfriend, into a threesome, quite realistic in the confines of the universe in which it is presented.

It's great to see gay characters in any show, but sometimes they are presented in a way which just makes me want to shrink into the floor, but then the same things happens with some straight relationships as well so I guess you have to take the good with the bad in all situations.

As a friend of mine said when Series one aired.

Sarah Jane Adventures: Written by adults for children.
Torchwood: Written by children for adults.

Some bits were just cringeworthy. The whole when was the last time you came so hard conversation.

I think the show had a real nihalistic attitude to sex, much like BSG did. In both shows people just seem to have sex in order to punish people. Give me the playfulness and genuine affection of Jack/Ianto over that any day.

This is sorta what I wanted to say, just I can never word things as such, I always come off more in your face then I preferred.

Right now I'm watcthing something called Sirens. A British Drama about Ambulance drivers. Two gay blokes catch another's eye in church, and without a word traded, they tumble into the toilet block makng out, take their shirts off, and then get confused as they fluff about who's going to fuck who in the batty first.

Maybe that's just what it's like to be gay over there?

Disgusting stereotype, I thought that died in the 70's with men spas due to the aids outbreak, why are they pushing dangerous sex onto the idiotic masses once again...

Not so much a disgusting stereotype or pushing dangerous sex on people, as portraying what does happen with some people.

It was safe sex.

Though a few weeks earlier this lad was found by his mates handcuffed to his bed after a bad select from internet dating.

A gay character outed himself on Warehouse 13 this week.

He kept his shirt on the whole time!
