Circusdog, don't use any version of blender earlier than 2.58. The program is in the middle of a huge overhaul and you'll want to learn the new interface rather than that used in 2.49.

One of the best sources for tutorial videos is Blender Cookie. It's chock full of hours of fantastic tutorials, most focused on the 2.5+ interface and wonderfully executed. My favorite instructor there is Jonathan Williamson, and it just so happens that he put together a quick introduction to the new interface two years ago.

Thanks! I'm going to see what kind of presentation I can make of it. There is a dwf format that I think allows rotation and such, and there is a free viewer available.

I think with some experimenting, you'll be able to get some nice renders out Blender or Max with your model. (And it'll be fun to learn too )

Oops! the starboard nacelle has a weird artifact. I'm trying to fix it. I think it came from using the "mirror" function in "derive". I'm building a new set of nacelles to see if it will go away.
