Summer's here! UGH!

Well, at 8 am, it was already 80 F. They're expecting a minimum of 103 F for at least the next NINE days.

And just a few days ago, we had a nice cool rain and snow in the Sierras.

What's the expected temps for the next week where you are?

Same up here a little north of you. That rain we had a few days ago was crazy, I can't remember the last time it rained so close to July. And it wasn't just sprinkles, it was pouring. Also strange that it would go from 70F and raining to 104F in just three days.

Here it is like autumn... it is grey, quite cold, and storms and rains all day long. We even have the fire in the fireplace burning. Hope this so called summer, doesn´t stay like autumn till autumn truly arrives!!!

Our forecast is pretty nice, and exactly what one expects for July in the Mid-Atlantic. Mid-90's, humidity at about 50-60%, so heat indexes in the upper 90's, possible afternoon thunderstorms. :techman:

i love summer. its been fairly rainy and mild the past couple days or so where i live. i love the rain, but i would love to get out and enjoy some warm weather.

70s and 80s here in Burlington, VT, but the humidity can have a dramatic impact.

This year I ended up buying both a humidifier and dehumidifier.

Yeah, girls in short shorts and tank tops everywhere... I feel so sorry for ya. ;) :p

Saw ALOT of that at the grocery store yesterday.....and earned a dirty look from my girlfriend in the process.

So much for subtlety.

Anyway, it's 99 here, but we spent all day in the air conditioned house watching movies (and eating from yesterday's grocery run), so I can' complain too much, except that's it's supposed to be 100 degrees for the next three days, and the HOT weather always makes me sleepy.

Here in Las Vegas it was 110 degrees when I walked out of work around 5:00pm. Now it's just after 9:00pm and it's still 101 degrees. Forecast for tomorrow is 108 so it'll probably be hotter.

It's been hot and shitty here for the past couple of days--temperatures in the high twenties, but high humidity making it feel like the low thirties.

I'm sure a Texan would throw on a jacket and complain about the cold, but it's miserable for a Canadian.

The forecast is for continued hot and shitty today and tomorrow, followed by thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sigh.

Hot weather isn't entirely a bad thing, I must admit.

When you're a straight woman, halters and daisy dukes aren't a turn on. And guys ALWAYS wear baggy clothes, no matter the weather, so nothing to look at there.

Well, in many cases, we're doing you a favour by wearing those baggy clothes. As the saying goes: the goggles do nothing.

But in the case of younger, fitter males, I do think that's a legitimate complaint. Especially seeing as how that's just about the only good thing about summer.

I'm not quite sure how to phrase this argument, though. "Young men: strike a blow for gender equality--go shirtless in summer" just doesn't sound right, somehow.
