Dear All,
I’m working on a Channel 4 obs doc following people making unusual and original wedding proposals. I simply thought that there may be SF and F fan who is planning to declare their love in a creative and interesting way. This is not a programme aiming ridcule Trekkies!
If you’ve got an amazing idea for the perfect proposal, or want something truly memorable to help that difficult question go more smoothly, I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a line at eparsons@blastfilms.co.uk

Let me guess, you typed this out in word or word like application, then copied it and pasted on trekbbs? Its a little hard to read.

I think its a nice idea. There is someone on Trekbbs who just recently proposed.

There is someone on Trekbbs who just recently proposed.

Has anyone ever actually done it *on the BBS itself* though? :D

I did read about an airplane flight which had this message come over the PA system:

"Would the young lady in seat 3-A please marry the gentleman in seat 3-B..."

I just proposed this past February. Right on the field at AT&T Park. I see these guys proposing in the seats at games from time to time...amateurs. :)

I forget how to embed. For now, here's the link. A Giant Proposal

I just took my girl to her favorite place on our one year anniversary and at the time of our first kiss I got down on one knee.

Hubby and I had been living together for 9 years, bought rings, and he needed medical insurance. I asked him, “Do you wanna just do this?”

Yeah. Totally romantic.

But then our first date was going to a movie. “Platoon.”

Yeah. Totally romantic.

But he did ask Dad for permission. He hadn’t asked Dad for permission to move in with me 9 years earlier, but to marry me. Crazy, huh?

Believe it or not, I personally did get engaged once. (Got DISengaged a month later, but that's another matter. :sigh: ) As I recall, I got down on both knees. I think that was an omen. :shifty:

I keep wondering: What's wrong with doing it at home when nobody else is around?

Private moment is private.

Mine was at home in private, on the 5th anniversary of when we started dating. We spent the whole day together enjoying each other's company. I had something elaborate planning for the following weekend, but the mood was just right.

Has anyone ever actually done it *on the BBS itself* though? :D

If anyone is lame enough to do so that way, they deserve the ring stuffed up about duodenum deep.
