It's been... confusing and interesting.

I'll tell my friend that it probably is the skull of a Japanese Snow-monkey -or a relation thereto.

er...well we're not all that mammalian (most of us hatch) but point taken about the size...

...anyhow - mystery solved.

I plugged your image into Google Image Search and got back these results.

...so what you have here is actually a pizza. Or a pineapple with pasta in it. On further reflection however we can conclude that sadly neither of these have skulls.

Since the only skull bearing item in the search is Prof. Dr. Klaus Petrus you may want consider the resale value to his next of kin.
