Legendary comic book artist Gene Colan has died

Out Of My Vulcan Mind

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Gene Colan has died at the age of 84, following a long period of ill health. He was one of the great comic book artists, with a very distinctive style. His Marvel work included illustrating Daredevil, Tomb of Dracula, Howard the Duck, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Blade (a character he co-created with Marv Wolfman). His DC work included illustrating Batman, Night Force, The Spectre, Jemm Son of Saturn, Silverblade and Nathaniel Dusk.

Rest in peace, Gene Colan.

My favorite artist. Saddened beyond belief by this news.

RIP "Gentleman" Gene. You will be missed terribly.

He was one of my very favorite artists. A friend of mine noted that he really didn't get enough credit for the work he did, and I would be inclined to agree with that.
