2011 MLB Season Discussion

I can't help but smile at the Marlins situation. They take out the Giants star player/catcher for the season and they've sucked ever since. It might have been a clean baseball play, but like the saying goes, Karma's a Bitch.

Just heard Albert Pujols is out for 4-6 weeks. That affects free agency and the All Star Game now. Just when he was starting to become Albert Pujols, this happens. Seems like this is the case for a lot of injuries this year, when a player starts getting hot they go down. Kind of a shame.

Broken wrist, yep -- at least it isn't on the same arm as the elbow that's been giving him hell for the last several years. Still, that's a tough injury in your big free agency season. Probably also ends his career-long streak of .300 / 30 / 100 seasons.

Hudson is doing it all tonight. Pitching an absolute gem (And helping my fantasy league in the process) and hitting Home Runs. Good for him, and probably his best game of the year.

And holy snot at Craig Kimbrel striking out the side to save the game. What a game. I'm just trying to imagine what this team will be like when we trade our excess pitching for some hitting at the trade deadline.

I don't think I've ever seen a game in which there were 8 straight hits and the first out was against the pitcher. That's what happened in the Giants game tonight and made me turn it off early. The Twins are a hot team, and the way the Giants are playing now, I don't like the prospects of the rest of the series. Hopefully the remaining games are closer than tonight though.

Just when I was getting used to the yellow A's Jerseys, they lose in a fashion of hitting the batter. Looks like they might be going back to the grey/green tomorrow, unless they think it's a blip on the radar and still use the yellow. Still, it was a good run and made one forget (Almost) about that 9 game losing streak.

Now I just wish Selig would get off his ass and do something about this A's stadium situation because right now, the A's are in a state of limbo and a bit of a laughing stock all over baseball.

Those yellow jerseys are sweet. The Mets looked like their usual mess with their mix and match of 500 different unis.

^ Meh, I don't think it's that bad. They have white unis without pinstripes, white ones with pinstripes, grey, and black.
