Is there any situation where the mini-pizza is superior to the pizza b

Re: Is there any situation where the mini-pizza is superior to the piz

it was supposed to be by the slice, the title bracket is smaller than I thought it was.

Mini slices are easier to eat while I'm driving and having to talk on the phone at the same time. :p

I'd rather have slices than a mini pizza, too. Mini pizzas give you too much crust.

If a mini-pizza is one of those English Muffin things with bacon and stuff, then it is definitely superior to a slice.

I much prefer pizza by the slice.

If the idea is to offer individualized pizza, the mini pizza can be superior to pizza-by-the-slice because with the latter, most places just stick your chosen toppings on top of a slice of premade cheese and stick it in the oven to heat it. That can be okay, but doesn't provide for the possibility of a thin layer of cheese over each of the toppings.

A local pizza joint makes a mini pan pizza for me sometimes at lunch that has sausage and pineapple sitting in fairly deep cheese. Sure, it isn't good for me, but it certainly is good, and I can't see pizza-by-the-slice taking the place of it.

(Don't get me wrong. I sometimes like a nice big piece or two of pepperoni pizza-by-the-slice from someplace like Sbarro. But it's a different animal.)

Some pizza slices are entire meals in their own right. Like the slices I had from here when I was in Chicago.

I was in Chicago a couple of months ago but I never ate that kind of pizza. For some reason I didn't feel like it. All I wanted to eat that whole week was ballpark food. Go figure.

(seriously though...US Cellular Field had CORN! OFF THE COB! )

Hmm, interesting question. Most places around here serve mini pizzas and not by the slice. In fact the only place I can think of that serves it by the slice is Sbarro (which I love). I have mini pizzas from Pizza Hut every so often, and they are pretty good. Some mini pizzas have too much crust but Pizza Hut has just the right amount.

This has me wanting pizza... At home, we get small flour tortillas, spread a bit of spaghetti sauce over it, sprinkle with fresh cheese, top with whatever (green chile a MUST) and pop it in a covered skillet for a couple of minutes.. The tortilla crisps nicely and the cheese gets all ooie-gooie...
