"CA already working on new Total War game"

Well ofcourse they are. I'm just wondering what time period and continent they will choose now. Personally I'm hoping for the latter half of the 19th century. The Crimean War, the US Civil War, and the Franco-Prussian War would be great conflicts to play through.

Still, I'm three games behind on the franchise and I think I'm okay with that. I thought I'd be into the Japan theme, but I haven't had any desire to play it.

I would like to see a modern one pitting us against the Chinese.

I doubt we'll see a "modern" Total War game.. part of the charm is the regimental battle system where you have unwieldy units that you have to place carefully and control at the right time unlike modern units that are far more mobile and versatile.

A modern TW game would be like almost any other strategy game and there's hundreds of them already.

I love the TW series and have played all of them since the beginning.. i finished my first Shogun 2 campain a while ago and have started a new, harder one and boy do i have problems now!
