I wonder if that is a reference to The Atraxi given the theories about how Prisoner Zero wasn't what he seemed.

I didn't think about the Atraxi. For some reason I doubt that is what this is referencing because the page specifically states this is all stuff that appears in 2011.

Okay, maybe a stretch but could it have something to do with The Eye Of Harmony? The only reason I suggest that is because the symbol for Omega can be seen in the trailer for the episode.

^ That's the only other Eye I thought off...it says we should be afraid of it. This is why I originally thought of Eye Patch Lady. She looks scary, and we know Amy is pretty afraid of her (both versions).

That's a reference to an old DWM/DWW retrospective of the Time Meddler which attributed the line to the Doctor even though the episode actually aired six or seven years before Gallifrey was named...

Almost certainly tonight episode 8 or the finale - a reference to Octavian saying in the Angels episode last year that the Doctor wouldn't help River if he knew who she was. (though judging by the trailer that may well mean "working for a bunch of soldier-monks who want to destroy the universe" - in which case he really meant "if you know who *we* were")

A promotional tie-in book called The Brilliant Book of Doctor Who, of course.

To be more precise, it was a hardcover book published last fall in lieu of the Doctor Who Storybook which contained a mixture of short stories and other material - including a Doctor Who short story by SF legend Brian Aldiss, which went totally unnoticed in all the excitement over the Michael Moorcock Doctor Who novel that came out.

Unlike the Annuals and Storybooks, however, it seems the Brilliant Book is being kept in print longer and is getting distribution outside the UK - I saw some copies at a "big box" bookstore here in Alberta, Canada only a few hours ago.

I had a thread on it last year when it came out. I just thought it prudent to discuss some of it's teasers since we're at the half way point and some of them have happened already. There are also episode summaries, and interviews with Moffat and the cast and other bits tossed in. A map of Leadworth, stuff like that.

I'd completely forgotten about the teasers being in there - thanks for the reminder! I love the fact the production team are coordinating with the publishers of the annuals and the Brilliant Book so closely (Letter to the Doctor being another great example). I hear there's supposed to be a 2012 edition - I wonder what teasers will be in store?
