Would a prequel on the Ancients work?

right, but their ships don't have shields and beaming technology is powerful against them, its also powerful against other enemies. Since we have 5 deadulus class ships, Earth is portected against all enemy.

I really don't think 5 Deadulus class ships could take on the entire Wraith fleet. If the Wraith had the technology to reach the Milky Way galaxy they would probably all abandon the Pegasus Galaxy for a much richer feeding ground. They would not ally themselves with the Gaould or the Lucian Alliance, but they would unite amongst themselves as they did during the war with the Ancients to gain access to the single most populated planet in the galaxy.

I think they'd probably ignore Earth to be honest. Sure there are billions here, but why give themselves the headache? The random human populated planet scattered around the galaxy would still have much larger populations than they're used to.

yes but the alliance and gouald would attack the wraith, the wraith have the biggest ship(hive), but not having shields would hurt them.

I don't think it would be that easy, my guess is that there would be many battles, because both are technologically advanced. Both have big ships, Small attacks fighters and big ground troops.

No. It would be too much of a continuity lockout.

I'm afraid he's right...
It would be so disappointing to pull a ENT on Stargate, they're just not going to keep it right...Prequels should not be done on series... A movie is better for prequels short and sweet...any mix up are far more easily for given.

Wraith Hiveships are huge and Goa'uld Ha'taks are weak and pathetic. Wraith Hiveships can take on the Ancients, meanwhile a puddle jumper took out a Ha'tak in two shots.

Wraith vs Goa'uld or Lucian Alliance is an easy victory for the Wraith.

Would anyone be interested in a Prequel(?) series with the Go'auld "Gods" set in ancient Egyptian Times? We could have a Tok'ra Resistance working with an SG Team that somehow got sent back in time (For the Human and modern element for relating to the show). The team would of course have to live in and blend in with Ancient Egyptian Society

Of course, we couldn't trust this kind of period piece to SyFy, we'd need AMC or similar quality attention to detail do it.

I'm sure hardcore fans would be interested, but casual viewers? I suspect not.

I would still love to see the Milky way/pegasus galaxy show down with the enemy winner going after Earth and her defences.

how about Earth's enemies building up to attack earth at once.

Wraith, Alliance, gouald.

Why would the Wraith even bother with an alliance? If they had the technology to reach Earth in large numbers Earth would be screwed and even if Earth could keep them at bay there are plenty of other planets in the Milky Way with human populations.

The Wraith and Goa'uld would be at odds with each other. The Wraith can eat only humans; the Goa'uld require humans as part of their reproductive cycle and also as a means of locomotion and just doing stuff. Otherwise, they're stuck in some pond somewhere.*

*This presumes that other species can't serve as food/hosts just as well. I think that was established for the Wraith, not so sure about the Goa'uld.

Wraith vs Goa'uld wouldn't be a bad scenario at all, with the Tau'ri perhaps siding with the Tok'ra in an alliance made sketchy and unstable if the Tok'ras happen to have a breeding Queen and a need for more hosts...

I'd watch that.
