Thank you TrekCore and your Rare Photos.

What would we do without you?

I'm reading one of the newest Trek books, titled Watching the Clock (it's about the Department of Temporal Investigations, and their ongoing efforts to preserve the timeline) and there's a scene with Janeway and Agents Dulmur and Lucsly shortly after Endgame, where the two DTI agents are grilling Janeway about her actions (both past, present, and future), and, though there are times I agree with the DTI agents, Janeway is just so badass that I can't help but go "WHOO-WHOO!"

(Minor spoiler, possibly: Janeway doesn't get punished, either by "current" authorities, or future authorities, for reasons that aren't fully explained but which can be somewhat puzzled out).

Okay, I should have continued reading on before posting: The reasons why Janeway gets off with violating the Temporal Prime Directive are explained a few pages later. It's pretty epic.

Oooooo Janeway in Treklit, let's hope this is a trend!

It takes place in the past, though.

However, allow me to provide how awesome Janeway is:

By accepting the help of Future Admiral Janeway, Then-Captain Janeway sets in motion a series of events which leads to the Borg being defeated once and for all. Had the temporal incursion not occurred, the Borg would have conquered the entire galaxy by 2600...in virtually every branch of the future, were they not stopped in the 24th century. So, Janeway (both of them) helped to save the lives of, quote, "quintillions", and preserved the future

As for "the end of "Voyager Conspiracy" and "Dark Frontier"... and I'll throw in the end of the Omega show... I'll stand by what I've ALWAYS said about Captain Kathyrn Janeway. ;)

She's willing to SEDUCE anyone in her path, to get what she wants.

Its just what she generally "wants" isn't a roll in the hay, but rather a faster way home. :bolian:

It's so true. I suppose I should have broken out the Checklist of Things Janeway Does to Anyone Within 10 Feet of Her Person.

And yay! At last, someone finally dealt with that whole Temporal Prime Directive thing in "Endgame."

I'll have to check that book out!!! Thanks, DD. I'd love to see how they explain that one. ;) And "amen" to having Janeway in TrekLit. :) Who says they can't write about the past?

ALL YOU HAVE IS INSTANT DECAF?

EDIT: DD, that's fricking EPIC. IN YER FACE, HATERS.

It's really well-written. Being a Christopher novel (that's the author's, Christopher L. Bennett, handle here on the BBS), it's got a lot of real science in it, but it's been explained, and considering we're talking about temporal physics and mechanics and the like, it's to be expected.

Well, Janeway inspired me to love coffee even more than I normally would.

She stayed loyal and true to her crew and friends, and I honestly believe to her values and the values of the Federation.

And she likes pattern enhancers, thereby creating a whole new topic for us to discuss.

I would love a crossover between these two commanders. Power, passion, angst, are these crews ready for the meeting of these two Captains? Is the Galaxy?

I love it!

NOW WANT!

(Oh, and just to keep everyone updated on the book I'm reading: It's a temporal clusterfrak going on! It's like every time-traveling group we've encountered in Trek appearing, all over a very few pages).

imagine the smoldering Mark Lenerd and Kate Mulgrew could have had here. Ships will burn...

Are we gonna have one of our chats again?

Because if we are the video I'm doing can wait, even if it is a neutral J/7 one.

And froot isn't it like 3 am for you? :)

This would be incredible and Janeway WOULD be attracted to him. It would be glorious.

As to temporal clusterfuks, ever read the Millenium trilogy? By the end of that I had no idea what timeline I was reading about and what was going on. Still a good read though
