So you think that it's fair to be a hypocrite and hold other countries to a standard you don't hold your own to?
Que?now stop wrting about wanting illigal immigrants
...which is why I want our countries to join the Schengen area.and know that not only the UK and Ireland would need that border, but the whole darn EU.
Yeah, but I wouldn't get mad at us for blocking something like that. and that EU UK/Ireland border specific argument was almost as pointless as this retort. You're still sounding like you're high or something. UK has no more problem than anywhere else, in fact since it's an island it's harder to get here than into EU European countries.
Personally I think a unified Earth would be dull. Vive la difference!
Don't worry, Switzerland would never join.
In fact, the next World War will be everyone else against Switzerland.![]()

Yeah, I told you about it like one day ago, lol.
You're now categorising your answers by degree of pointlessness? Well, it's refreshing but I suspect the dreaded T word might be whispered in the background.

Would it involve a person who tosses some coins?

We're not talking about troglodytes?
Perhaps my fellow Europeans can help clarify if I'm right or wrong but mainland Europe is more to the left on the political spectrum whilst the UK leans more to the right.
That's an odd perception. The EU consists of so many different countries with different traditions and different political landscapes that it's impossible to tell in what direction it leans, politically. Also, what timeframe are we talking about here?
Sometimes, there are some overarching trends but they usually do also occur in Britain, like the more or less recent swing towards Conservative governments and the rise of right-wing populist parties disguised as EU skeptic.
It should be noted however that the previous Labour Government back in 97 made a move from the left of the political spectrum moretowards the centre i.e. a move to the right.
You can sort of tell how a country in general leans by looking at which party that holds office the most leans. true every now and then a party is elected to office that leans in a different direction.
I knew that it was called the Magna Carta back when I didn't even know what it was and thought it was a bloody boat (the Niña, the Pinta and the Magna Carta).iBender said:Freedom and Democracy started in England in the year 1215 with the creation of the Magna Carter in London.
France - The only good thing about them is the French Foreign Legion.
UK - Think they are a great country. Love the Queen.

I know the stupid title of this stupid topic is basically asking for it, but cut the shit.
Well, as topic starter, I feel I must say something; What. The. Fuck. is that thread?

This post for me justified this thread, what you said about the diplomatic framework of this community; This right there opened the doors it seemed, for a mutual Anglo Franco dicussion where all was fair; How ever, the first sign I see of anybody ganging up on Shaytal because, she's like the only French poster here 'that I've noticed...' I'd ask for the thread to be closed, but hey, it's 2011, I say it's about time we look stuff square in the eye, and have fun... My patriotism is UK love, not French hate....remold the diplomatic framework of our community!
The winning nation shall, as a French knight of my acquaintance put it, taunt the loser a second time!
