This is just a fun poll - but one I think could be interesting too. Of course the US and Canada is now one week out of synch with the UK. And after the events of The Almost People - ironically, I'm asking for no spoilers in this thread, please so we'll just leave it at this - all the UK media, Radio Times, fan sites, etc. are buzzing with coverage. And even if they promise no spoilers, it's still dead easy to see, say, the new cover of Doctor Who Magazine or Radio Times, or the latest set of publicity photos that are starting to grace the blogs, and the game is up.

So I'm starting a poll now to see how long people in the US or Canada managed to last before being spoiled about the events of The Almost People. Or, for that matter, how many "didn't wait". (And we'll let the finer points of that option be taken as read.)

Please don't vote on this poll until you've in one way or the other been spoiled (or watched) the episode. This is intended to be a "running poll" as we work through the week.

(Apologies to Australian and New Zealand fans - I know you're in a similar boat. But the delay is normal for you guys this season.)

I viewed it by alternative means about 3 hours after it finished airing in the UK.

I'm still spoiler-free. Most of it is due to not hanging around the various Doctor Who forums very much and not clicking on any threads about episodes I haven't seen yet. It also helps that most thread titles aren't spoilers too...

I guess I'm so unspoiled that I don't know that there was something to be spoiled about.

I haven't been spoiled. Doctor Who isn't much watch TV for me, so it's easy to avoid since I'm not looking.

I usually like to glance quickly over the comments after an episode to see what the general reaction to an episode is. I usually do a good job of avoiding any big spoilers, but unfortunately this time it was all anybody was talking about, and I got screwed. :(

Unfortunately it's probably going to be worse for the finale, with the big River reveal. I think I'm going to have to avoid the internet COMPLETELY for that one.

This.

:techman:

Same here.

That said, I spoiled myself immediately by checking in one Lonemagpie's speculation thread. Even before the episode ever aired, his theory sounded credible enough that the episode didn't surprise me.

Same here. Great stuff though. Had to share it with someone and ended up spoiling the ending for my husband that night. :alienblush:

I still haven't watched the Flesh episode so I have no idea what is going on. I just got back from being out of town for a week and a half, so the last episode I saw was "The Doctor's Wife". I guess I'm so lost. :(
