Any pansexuals here?

I keep hearing more and more people, especially women, referring to themselves as pansexuals. It seems increasingly common on message boards, in fact.

Naturally, it got me wondering about our little community.

So if you feel comfortable discussing it, please 'fess up. ;)

Hmm...Its an interesting term, obviously some people feel uncomfortable with labelling themselves as hetero/homo/bi sexual. I think in many respects, people have braced the idea of 'fluid sexuality' to the point thats it considered a normal part of sexual identity.

In psychology, sexuality isn't as black and white and when one man may be considered gay, in context, some apply the term gay men as 'men who has sex with men' and in the case of lesbian women, 'women who have sex with women'. I guess thats the best way to describe someones sexual habits in a non judgemental context.

As for me, i'm pretty straight  I have sex with women and I am only attracted to women. Even though i'm fairly certain of my sexuality, you never know, one day I might decide i'm attracted to a man...but I think thats unlikely!

Pansexual, to me, implies that people are sexually attracted to everything. So no, I hope nobody actually fits this description.

As a gay man, the whole concept [I have to admit] of suddenly finding someone 'attractive' of the same or opposite sex when they have an already very well identified sexual orientation seems bizarre to me.

A lot of straight men have sexual experiences as boys with other boys as a normal part of sexual maturation. I personally attribute this to the fact that when we hit puberty basically any sexual experience sounds good and most men like to get their dicks sucked and men tend to be more open to random sexual experiences more so then women in my experience.

I'd also be interested to know how many men had a male-male sexual experience as a teenager only to realize that they are more naturally attracted to women?

Apparently pan sexual includes gender identities. Women dressing as men and vice versa and/or people who feel naturally like a different sex than they were born as.

pansexual

1. Adjective: A group which is open to members of all sexual orientations or gender identities including straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexual, or transvestite.

lol, mostily IR, one time the baby sitter and once, an affair with some girl who wanted to cheat on her bf.

I still want group sex, I really want an angel's threesome; too.

Is your choice of a screen name, 'Jadzia,' an intentional reference to this? Because of all the Trek characters Jadzia would be the most 'pan sexual,' of the crowd.

Just because I know about pansexuality doesn't mean it is my orientation. I assume that's what you're thinking because your post doesn't make sense any other way.

I chose this screen name because no-one else has chosen it. It wasn't a reference to anything. :)

No offense intended, my apologies. Unlike TNG, DS9 tackled homosexuality more openly and honestly than the entire series - especially with Jadzia character. IIRC the female/female kiss in the episode where she falls back in love with a former partner is the only time that we see on screen open gay sexuality on Trek.

I'm not exactly sure where I fall. Women are great, Pre-op MtF Transsexuals are good, Men are not. I love the female form and penises are fine and dandy, but the male form is wholly unattractive to me.

I was asked to strip for a Hen Party, that was cool, having a whole room full of drunk young ladies all interested in my junk -- THAT WAS FUN :D

Moi aussi. But I tend not to use the term, because it often just creates confusion.

It's not always simply being genderblind. I know people for whom that's the case, but personally I find gender-play and variant gender expressions attractive in and of themselves.
