CSI:NY renewed, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior cancelled

This ought to round out the lingering questions from the four major networks.

CBS sure knows how to keep its fans in suspense.

Have we seen any OFFICIAL word on Blue Bloods? Or Mike and Molly for that matter?

No official word, but Blue Bloods has just signed on a new showrunner to turn it into a procedural, so it probably has to come back.

And CMSB had an incredibly lame cast. Forest Whitaker is an overactor.

I wouldn't mind seeing more of Michael Kelly and Matt Ryan, but the rest of them have been pretty disposable. A great example is Beau Garrett, a student of the Jolene Blalock/Robert Beltran school of wooden acting.

I feel bad for Garofalo, insomuch as she made it sound like this was a big deal for her after a stalled career, but yeah... one episode was enough for me to check out on the show.

I was thinking that somebody (Jax maybe?) posted just last week or maybe the week before that Tom Selleck had threatened to walk if they turned it into a "procedural."

THAT'S good news on blue blood I like that one. out the csi show's I like ny the best.
all so body of proof is really good.

Glad Hawaii Five-0 got renewed.
It'll be interesting to see them get out of the jam Woo-fat put them in.
the slimy prick.

I'll be honest, until word of its cancellation came out I was totally unaware there was a Criminal Minds spin-off, showing how little impact it must have made.

I haven't seen the season ender yet, but every time I see him I want him to yell something about a "secret ingredient". :p

+1

And even upon hearing about it, I care not in the slightest.

It was heavily promoted and ran in the post-CM timeslot. Not much more they could have done with promotion.

Noooooo! Where will I get my idiotically grisly murders and facilely reassuring cliche cop heroics come fall?

CSI:NY renewed

Oh.

I've got to say; I'm not at all sad about the Criminal Minds spin-off. The casting sucked from day one. Forest Whitaker is a fine actor, but he's not series lead material. He's just not.

Vain and shallow as this is going to sound, the lazy eye-lid issue is just a deal-breaker for a lot of people, even if they won't admit it. It's difficult to look at him for an extended period of time.

Not to mention he's been sort-of type-cast as a non-good-guy. Most of his best, most known roles where of him playing someone who wasn't the hero, even if they where not the villain.

If they had stacked the deck with the rest of the cast? Perhaps it would have had a chance. But the other cast was too unknown, and the one known element in Garrafulow (I butchered that...) is a gray quantity for most people.

Well "Garrafulow" made me never turn on the spinoff. And anyways, criminal minds hasn't been noteworthy since season 2 after Mandy Patinkin walked away. it been going downhill since, though it occasionally has a decent episode.

I never gave this show much of a chance. Whitaker's character felt off to me, and not in a good way. I wish he had been more like Kavanaugh from The Shield. I think a character like that would've been interesting to watch and would be able to carry a series like this. It could perhaps be even edgier than Criminal Minds. I am surprised that they passed on something under the Criminal Minds brand. The ratings must've been really really bad.
