Go Wings!!!!

Tough game on Thursday. Both teams will be playing their hearts out. If it's anything like Game 6, it's gonna be some great hockey!

Tyler Seguin is lighting it up in Game 2. The Bruins are still looking a little shaky as a whole though, regardless of their lead in this game. And despite Seguin's performance, I still feel pretty good about the Kessel deal as a Leafs fan.

Watching this game, the Sharks just look over matched. In the first game and in this game Vancouver was getting all the calls and the Puck was still in the San Jose end pretty much the entire period. I hope the Sharks come out in Game 3 and control the tempo because right now, I think they look befuddled. It almost seems like this series is over, and now that the Sedins are scoring, Vancouver is looking scary good. Hopefully I'm just being pessimistic and the Sharks come back and play well in game 3 but right now I'm just not seeing it.

I think that San Jose has the capacity to come back. In particular I think Joe Thornton is sick of losing. But I'm curious about your assertion that Vancouver is "getting all the calls." There's been allegations of diving. Especially from the Predators but a little bit too from the Sharks. Do you agree with that assessment? Any poster's free to jump in on this one.

^I wasn't able to see much of the game tonight because I was traveling, but when I say Vancouver is "getting all the calls" I mean that purely on the fact that San Jose isn't drawing any penalties, and are just taking stupid penalties. I didn't see the thing on Eager tonight, but it sounds like a dick move he did and it's like everytime I look up, Vancouver is on another Power Play.

I'm not going to complain about the refs or diving or this or that, but I would love to see San Jose on a power play every now and again. Spending the entire game (Almost) on the penalty kill isn't going to win many games.

Well the good news is that Eager isn't suspended, as he was our best player last night.

What a worthless goon though, I haven't had respect for that chump since he blindsided Edler in the playoffs two years ago when he was in Chicago.

Canucks look good I have to say, but I'm trying damn hard to reign in my expectations and excitement as I still think San Jose could take this - their forwards are so deep and could get it going, especially if we get off our game.

Can anyone tell me what happened to Danny Heatley? Shadow of his former self.

And who knew Joe Thornton was such a cheap ass player?

And there has been ZERO diving, only embelishment. There's a difference.

I lost a lot of respect for Dany Heatley with the whole Dan Snyder incident. Sure, you can forgive him and say look how sorry he was and what he's done. But it boils down to a big boy with a big toy and he was driving way over the speed limit. Speed racing is an epidemic and Heatley did nothing but bad with his little escapade.

Sportsnet is reporting that the Thrashers' move to Winnipeg is a done deal. Waiting on the details.

From the Globe and Mail

An agreement to sell the National Hockey League’s Atlanta Thrashers to a Winnipeg group which plans to relocate the franchise to the Manitoba capital is done.

Sources confirmed tonight that preparations are being made for an announcement Tuesday, confirming the sale and transfer of the Thrashers to True North Sports and Entertainment, which owns and operates the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League and the MTS Centre arena, which would become the NHL team’s new home.

...

ources in Winnipeg suggest that the Thrashers had in fact been the primary target of potential owners Mark Chipman and David Thomson all along, and that some months back, the NHL board of governors quietly approved the sale and transfer of the team, pending the negotiation of a purchase agreement between Atlanta Spirit LLC, the Thrashers’ owners, and True North.

This is good. Winnipeg has finally made it to the list of "places I'd live if I really had to."

EDIT: Maybe not, TSN is saying it's not a done deal.

It's a decent team to take over, but if they move to the Western Conference, they are sunk when it comes to the playoffs.

Would someone from the West move over to the Eastern Conference to make up for it? Or are the conferences already imbalanced anyway?
