BWAHAHAHA.. this didn't move for me the first time and now its TRUE AWESOMENESS is apparent.

I so look fwd to this thread. Yesterday I was "socializing" with "friends" and the conversation was all about varying lifestyle and car shows, none of which I watch. I don't watch them because A. I don't have television, just dvds and B. it's just not my thing. ANYWAY.. I was just politely nodding along but the three of them started ragging on me that I "needed to stop watching Star Trek" and "get off the internet because only people with no lives are on the internet" (like vegetating in front of car shows is somehow inherently superior) and then there was the "you need to broaden your horizons" which was rather hilarious to me as I'm older than these folks and my horizons are very well broadened thankyouverymuch. I just like what I like and in the last 5 years or so have really specialized in pursuing particular interests, such as sci fi.

Anyway, that's a long whiny rant just to say I came home and this thread was full of friendly awesomeness and it made me happy. Q'plah!

MY LIFE. LOL. You're not alone in that feeling, teacake! It's actually really hard for me to carry on conversations with other women (save a few) for that reason. Usually they're carrying on about weddings or babies or something on TV I don't understand (we don't have cable at the moment) when all I really want to do is blabber about sci-fi and video games!

I have a lot of nerdy friends I've known for years, although they are overwhelmingly male. But at least I can talk about similar interests with them. And they never expect me to sit around watching boring movies like the ladies do. I fail to see how vegging for six hours in front of Netflix is more productive than drawing, but oh well.

Ok. Now that I'm slightly more coherent, the dream was weird, and I mean weird, however my butterfly was in it so it must have made some sense or something really good is about to happen which I could really use right now, anyways . . .

So I was walking in this really psychedelic hallway, there were colors everywhere everything was moving, but then again that could have been the alcohol talking, well I collapsed back against the wiggling wall and it sucked me in all Alice in Wonderland style. Well when I landed teacake, I'm assuming it was teacake because in both Possum's and I think froot she was telling them to go somewhere, took me to this hall that was like a gallery with lots and lots of pictures of Janeway/KM down it. And she told me to pick one, but I had to pick the correct one or something bad would happen, so I walked up and down the hallway about six times staring at the pictures and then I stopped because there was a picture I hadn't seen before, I looked at it and then I walked away. Well I chose the same picture of Janeway rubbing her nose on the last name, that was correct and teacake said that I would find it alive. That was it.

I woke up, picked my laptop off of the ground and came to this site, and what do I see but this


The picture was ALIVE!!!!!

All of this confirms my belief that Janeway is a religion.

OMG! I loved it! It was so funny, and then cute, and then angsty, and then cute all over again.

I loved the Friday cover they did, it actually almost made the song bearable

I guess you have the Deviant Art site with the Dark Janeway and Seven posters. I really loved the Irina Spalko picture, fantastic colors and lighting. Fantastic adaptation of Stalin era aesthetic. I do hope you will continue with this great stuff.

Yes, that's my site. I use to post my drawing there and in tumblr.

I'm glad you liked that drawing. I wanted to create a portrait that would show her personality in a more serious and misterious way than in the movie where they made her look, well, they did it with all the characters, look more like a comical one.
