Since the end of the movie showed Jane workin' with a whole lote more people, and Thord had already explained, sort of, how things were supposed to work, my guess is she, with help from SHIELD, makes a bridge to connect Earth to Asgaard & bring Thor back for the Avengers movie.

Wow, I'm surprised this movie is being scored so highly, found it kind of a letdown. Was still fun to a degree, but not something I'd tell people to spend $10 on, better to wait for it to come out on DVD.

I Hope GL is better then this was.

Alternatively, Heimdall tells Thor that Loki knew of another way in and out of Asgard, and Thor finds a different route through the Nine Worlds.

Or maybe they use the Cosmic Cube as seen in the post-end credits scene. It had the same "rainbow" look as the bridge.

Saw it again last night, and I liked it significantly more the second time. Some of my mixed impressions of the beginning of the film may have had something to do with my expectations coming in, or just having a really bad seat in a very crowded theater for a 3D showing.

I was holding off on actually voting in the poll, but now I have to say it was a clear "A" for me.

You are right! My bad.

He does. He doesn't know that he's out of the Odinsleep until he comes to the rescue!

Getting dressed (and undressed) in particular seems to be something Asgardians do with raw energy, to judge by how Thor's costume comes and goes :)

Avengers will be a Summer 2012 release, Thor 2 won't be 'til after that.

Don't forget Nick Fury & War Machine.

"Thor 2" is an unknown entity at this point. I suspect that Marvel won't release a date for it for a while. My guess is 2014/2015.

Kevin Friege has said they are going to announce future movies past Avengers and IM3 sometime this Fall.
At that point they will already know THOR's WW total and maybe even first few weeks of DVD sales (assuming it's late Fall, closer to early November). They will also have a solid handle on how Captain America performed.

If THOR has done well enough then Fall '11 is when I'd expect to hear about Thor 2. If we don't hear it there I think the odds of it happening drop considerably.

Branagh's up for a sequel (or two). I'm thinking 2014 for a Thor 2.

It would really depend on when Marvel wants Iron Man 3 out and when Downey wants to do it. I suspect Marvel would prefer to strike with Iron Man 3 in 2013, but Downey may say, "You know, guys, I'm much rather do some more interesting work." If Iron Man 3 moves, Thor or Captain America sequels could step into the schedule hole.

I've read they're prepping "Iron Man 3" for a 2013 release. 2014 seems logical for "Thor 2". With 2015 a possible release for "Captain America 2"?

If Captain America and The Avengers are both hits, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw both Thor 2 and Captain America 2 in 2014.

Wasn't Don Cheadle in the SDCC cast line-up last year?

Yeah, because as shown by Iron Man/The Incredible Hulk and Thor/Captain America show, Marvel prefers to release only one movie a summer, not two...

;)
