No Cable numbers released yet.

I guess I never noticed how much viewership declined in the Spring, I was thinking those Monday numbers were kind of scary, but I see it's pretty much across the board.

Yeah, numbers are WAY down. Except for DWTS, which is where people went, apparently. HIMYM, one of my favorites, is off by about 4 million over fall numbers...

The Spring erosion seems to be heavier this year though in terms of House and HIMYM I don't think its just general spring thats the only issue, I believe the two shows are starting to show their ages.

Makes me think they should stop stringing the season along and end it in March, and quit having so many breaks and reruns in the middle of the season.

I was looking at some of my original (the real deal :p ) Hawaii-5-0 DVDs, and I noticed in looking at the air dates, the seasons ended in March. I don't really remember that as a kid, but I do remember that we weren't treated to reruns all year long. There was a break around Christmas time for Christmas specials, and that was about it.

Seems like with Daylight Saving Time being moved so far up, it would make sense to go back that kind of a season.

Less repeats and ending early April would be good but really only bubble shows are killed in spring and other shows can afford drops. Also because networks make their money back after a shows Live run generally I guess they don't care about drops in the ratings as much.

Still September-April with less repeats would seem a better option in the future with falling audience live ratings.

Can't just be shows showing their ages, as every show except Castle and DTWS (and both are shown on same channel in one block, so lead-in helps) took a nosedive this spring. Except CW, they were pretty steady with the 5 girls that watch that show still tuning in...

How can THAT many shows that were doing GREAT numbers in December suddenly be old and falling apart in April/May? Seems too across the board to be specific to a problem with a show/shows.

House has been losing its audience in parts over the last 2 years so the drop is not surprising though I expect the fall numbers to be at 9-10 million but still down from 12 months ago. How I Met Your Mother began to show a few signs last spring but the erosion has happened earlier and quicker this season but again I expect it to be higher in the fall but down 12 months ago in 2010.

I'm really glad to see Castle doing so well. I hope ABC doesn't break up that combo any time soon. They've been dominating Monday nights pretty handily with DWTS/Castle.

You would assume ABC would keep the status quo for Mondays but I feel ABC could use DWTS to launch a new 10pm hit, possibly "Poe" and move Castle to the wednesday comedy night 10pm slot as its light humor would fit the general theme of the night. Castle now has its own built in fanbase and doesn't really need DWTS though ratings would drop without it.

It's still done decently on nights where it didn't have DWTS as a lead-in, right?

Castle probably would fit in pretty well on Wednesdays, yeah.

ABC supposedly has a dancing show, either a drama or dramedy that they want to use on Mondays, but we will find out next week.

Castle does fine when there is no Dancing. It's the only hit drama ABC really has had that wasn't a spinoff in years.

looks like chuck did great I've kinda lost intrest in the event its going bad even for me. and I mean lost bad. out of animation domination bob's burgers was the funniest next to family guy. I have yet to watch castle I am thinking of getting season one to check it out. does anyone know if the "the borgias" will be picked up for a second season.

what I like chuck and thanks for news on the bogias. love that show it fantastic do you think we will see any kinda crossover with the tudors.

So, is The Event officially dead or there's still some 0.00000001% chance it'll get another season (not sure what for, just curious)?
