Amazing Race: Unfinished Business starts tonight!

^I suggest that someone throw an intervention. People can claim that it was edited, but the way he treated her was so awful that I would love to see her walk away from him.

Yeah. She generally comes across as a sweet girl, if a little clueless at times. Kent, on the otherhand, is borderline abusive. Not physically, obviously, but quite possibly emotionally. It's impossible to properly make that judgement based on an edited TV show, of course, but their interactions verged on uncomfortable some of the time.

And I went back and watched it again, and I don't think Vyxin took another mould back with her, but it's hard to say for sure. Definitely telling, though, that the other teams seemed to be on the Globetrotters' side as much as anything.

^If only she would stand up for herself more when he starts heaping abuse on her.

But at least they're out of the race. I would have screamed if they won.

Just a few comments.

Zev wasn't the one who lost the passports, that was Justin who had taken Zev's and misplaced it.

While this season in terms of traveling and down time has been one of the hardest (they always try and do that for All Stars), a few of the tasks have either been bland, easy or teams helped so many others that hard tasks became easy tasks. Never before have I witnessed so many teams helping out so many other teams. That bike task was designed so that many teams would have to repeat it, but so much for that idea.....

And it is absolutely allowed.

One new rule (and I don't know if its just for this season or if its from now on.

Teams could not take locals with them to help navigate. Getting directions, and a pointing is what they are currently allowed. I believe this was due to insurance reasons. As racers (some at least) would get locals to ride in the vehicles with them to different locations to help navigate and that just increases the liability for the show.

This comes not to long after they made it illegal to pay cabs to guide you to a location (which I was very pleased to see as teams took something that was hardly used to something that was used in almost every leg).

Well, it's over. The last leg wasn't all that exciting since it seemed obvious from the beginning how things would turn out. It actually bothered me that all of the locations seemed close together and didn't involve a lot of navigation. I think that would have made the leg more exciting as there would have been some opportunity for those who were behind to make up some time or for teams to get lost. And the tasks, especially the first two, were just plain boring and didn't require any thought really, so no teams could catch up there either.

I am fine with the winners. I would have rather seen Gary and Mallory or Zev and Justin win, but I've always liked Keshia and Jen so I'm not terribly upset.

Well, that finale, much like the rest of the season, was lame. Again, you get the curse of the Taxis, there were no memory tasks, and the tasks they did have seemed a bit too easy or just lame, like the trailer park building. I've seen harder tasks on regular seasons and this season was supposed to be tough.

I don't know, maybe I'm getting past this show. I mean going into this season, I was actually excited because of the whole prospect of "unfinished business" but then they brought back teams that had recently ran the race and it just didn't seem all that great anymore. Now if they had brought back teams from Season 10 and before, I might have been interested because I don't remember those teams. It would have been great if past history of the race was represented (Other than the family edition) but it seemed like only a few seasons past was and that was a downer.

I do think they need to revamp the show a bit. It's getting stale, tired, and kinda boring. Where was this season's fast forward, or intersection, or any other special route marker instead of the typical detour or road block. Heck, I wouldn't mind the return of the Yield, maybe to replace the U-Turn, which I absolutely hate. There wasn't any, and it probably added to the ho hum feeling I got. Also, they need to make it so there are no taxis being used in the final leg. I mean once Mallory and Gery's taxi got lost, it was over and everything else was just formality. It's happened in so many season enders that tonight I was actually getting annoyed. Don't put the race in other people's hands. Make it a 3 way race where everyone is on the same playing field and there is a bit of skill involved rather than Luck.

I'm sorry for being so down. Many other people probably think this season was terrific and that's fine. Maybe I'm done watching it, but if I hear that they are significantly revamping the show and making some major changes (but keeping the format of a race around the world), I'll be interested again.

I was just remarking to my wife that nobody did that anymore. I didn't know they'd made a rule about it.

I wanted Mallory to win :(

The finale proves why they should have to drive themselves, especially on the last leg, cause random chance on a bad taxi can lose you the race. The whole race should be about you trying to find your way anyway, it just makes sense that they should drive themselves, especially the final 3 racing to the finish line.

A rather lackluster finish to a fairly dull season.

I didn't care for the final leg. All of the tasks were so straightforward there was little chance of any team making a move. And I hate the use of taxis in the final leg. I'd rather see contestants navigate on their own instead of having dumb luck with taxis play such a big role.

The taxis are unfortunate, but necessary, I think, in the final round. Everyone's racing to win a million dollars, do you really want them driving? :p

But yeah, disappointing final leg. I would have preferred the Globetrotters or Gary and Mallory to win, and the tasks didn't really leave much room to lose or make up ground. Too bad. Like a couple others mentioned, the show is starting to get rather stale, now.

That...would not end well...

The other option, though, is to avoid all driving. Make them walk/run the whole episode. Of course, that's going to favor the fittest teams...so you're going to have to add a lot of puzzles to possibly counter-balance the walking/running.

Ah, caught the finale a few days ago and yeah, fairly underwhelming. Strange that they'd go back to a physical task instead to finish the race, but I guess they found the memory games a bit boring to film.

And, as much as I like the show, I realize that it's really just travel porn for me now. The moment they left Asia is the moment I stopped caring about the race or the people racing. It probably doesn't help that they've seemed to have exhausted all the pretty looking locations to go to. I wouldn't even mind an "All Star Locations" season at this point.

Well, TAR Australia starts up in a couple of days so hopefully that'll rejuvinate my interest for the series as much as China Rush did last year.
