Smallville: T-1: 10x20 "Prophecy" - Discussion and Spoilers

Smallville's penultimate episode airs Friday night.

Prophecy Promo

Based on the description is sounded like another yawnfest...but the promo got me more excited.

 

"I want to marry this woman, Jor-El."

"My son, silcone and botox don't mix."

Two more episodes left! No matter what the flaws, I am going to miss this show. It was a great way to begin to wind down your school/work week.

After Smallville, I'm heading to go see Thor. Thor should stick that hammer up Douche Clark's ass.

 

"You're a big douche." Pauses. "I've seen big-guh."

 

Rao...this episode sounds worse every time I read the description. Also...what exactly is the prophecy the episode title is referring to? Is it something to do with this Bow of Orion (that reminds me of a NewBSG season one arc).

 

Freakin' Toyman...

 

Toyman is nefarious already? LOL.

 

Based on some of the photo's up on Kryptonsite, I have a feeling this episode might end with Clark getting the suit (granted we won't see him in it for the better part of the last episode). So what do you guys think, am I right, or has ten years of Smallville rotted my brain?

Seriously, we won't see him in that frakkin' suit until the final 30, no, 15 seconds of the finale. Right before the credits.

^Oh, I agree we wont see him in the suit, but the ice cracking and Jor-el releasing the suit for Clark's use is another matter.

 

I don't like how easily his powers can be removed and exchanged in Smallville.

 

Tonight looks like fun. Still can't believe it's almost over. Hope everyone will be around tonight for discussion frivolity.

 

Well, OK, that could certainly happen. Then Clark will hold the suit in his hands and stare at it with that patented blank look of his, as if to say, 'What am I supposed to do with this?'

You know, the more I think about it, it really could happen in tonight's ep.

 

^That's what I'm saying. And we'll spend 90% of the Finale wondering if we'll ever get to see the suit, that's the Smallville-way. 5% Carrot/95% Stick.

 

WHY???? start reading and do some research in the comics. Since the 50's and 60's they were always coming up with assnine reasons for the supporting characters to be "SUPER" something (SuperLois, Jimmy, Perry and so on,....), so why should a show be any different?...

 

I'm still wondering what the actual prophecy is...or did they just think of a kewl title for their second to last episode?

Doesn't mean I like it.

I like to think the Kryptonian's have a unique ability with these powers because of their dense DNA. Therefore, they can't just be traded away, it is part of their core DNA nature. I don't like the idea they can just lose their powers and give them to someone else. Now if someone similar (but not as powerful powers) were transferred to a human, I guess i can live with that, copied as it where. But other than a red sun, having their powers be drained from them somehow and into a human, I just can't see as plausible, cause that doesn't even make sense.
