I had a dream about Star Trek 2...and it sucked!

In my dream I turned the movie on halfway into it, and Chris Pine seemed to be nowhere in sight. The film only focused on Spock and we barely saw the Enterprise.

When we finally did see the Enterprise Kirk was rescuing some aliens off of a ship that he destroyed and he learned they weren't really bad guys, they were just doing what came natural. So the finale of the movie involved Kirk hanging out with one of the aliens on Earth and bonding with it.

It was very weird, so weird I just had to share.

Actually when I have dreams about movies and in my dreams the movie sucks, that usually means the movie will be awesome.

Perhaps I had Heroes on the brain before I went to bed, because I always felt they focused too much on Sylar.

I had a dream about ST 2 recently myself. It was really weird, this crazy old guy went after Kirk, and Spock had to kill himself to save the ship.

Sort of a good movie, but the old guy was totally a rip-off of Nero.

It would have been pretty difficult for him to have been less serious, considering Devon was riffing on a type of post which got thrown around quite a bit here, in the months prior to the last movie's release (and more than a little even before the first trailer appeared in theaters.)

I just thought I'd post my dream, that's all. Never occurred to me if there could be any real discussion borne out of that dream though.

Which is kind of the trouble with making a thread out of it - the discussion more or less begins and ends in the opening post, and from there things just sort of meander around and get naked.
