How is Janeway sexy?

It shows you what incredible devotion to her crew Janeway has, even decades later.

OR

It shows you how much Janeway is in love with 7 even decades later.

Would she have gone back in time and changed everything for Carey?

Nah, she has her beloveds. Many have died, she has mourned them, she may well regret the command decisions that led to their deaths. But go back in time to change EVERYTHING for them?

Not everyone.. no.

True.

Carey still had a lame death though.

Now I want to watch Endgame.

I let my husband hide it just so I could get The Notebook back.

I do NOT get why people think The Notebook is sad.

They got to spend their entire lives together IN LOVE, they got old and then they died. Surely that is more than many have.

For me it's the very very end.

When they die together in the bed :wah:

I want to be with my hubby when I die, or vice versa, I'd even lay next to him when he dies.

I also in the past two weeks have been crying whenever the word "bird" is said due to the line, "If you're a bird, I'm a bird." It's so cute.

EDIT: And the whole Alzheimer's story gets me too, my grandma is dying from it, and my mom's in the early early stages of dementia, hence why my sister will be moving in with me.

I think Janeway went back to save all three of her beloveds - Chakotay, Seven, and Tuvok.

I also think they intentionally put a bucketload of subtext in that episode so that shippers of all stripes would keep guessing up until the end (much as I resent it :)) The multiple ways the conversation between the two Janeways in the corridor can be taken is no mistake.

Notebook makes me cry too!

I might have to watch Endgame tonight.

I think it's sad that Admiral Janeway could not accept that people die, sometimes before their time and that we cannot always see the consequences of our decisions, made with only the best in mind.

There's always consequences . . . .

For all we know the EMH got reprogrammed and sent to be with the other Mark I's.

And Seven could have ran away to the Beta Quadrant to look for Axum.

I loathe Endgame's ending. It's too open and it drive's me insane, much like surprises *glares at sleeping husband*

One of the reasons I don't like "Endgame." I realize we're talking about a 20-year difference here, but Janeway was really against screwing with time for convenience in "Eye of the Needle." (She had absolutely nothing to do with "Timeless" so I don't count that one.)

She was clearly hurt over losing her three favorite people, but... there needed to be something more to warrant her drop-kicking time. Parts of the episode are really lovely and sad, but I think it would have been more effective if there was a lot more at stake. Or if they just sorta dumped that whole time travel business in the first place.

Just wasn't enough. Not a good enough reason to go back, and not enough closure at the very end.

What surprise is this?

Could it be.. YOUR BIRTHDAY?!

YES!

I hate, hate, hate, loathe surprises. Hate them.

I get all antsy and impatient. Twenty-six years later you think I'd have learned? No.

Christmas, birthdays, and even anniversaries. Drives me up the wall.

I. Have. To. Know.

He got me something and he's keeping his lips zipped. And it's driving me batty.

If I self destruct within the next 24 hours we know who/what to blame.

Like of we had seen Chakotay die?

Or a flashback of Sev- nope! Never mind there was enough C/7 in the episode.

When did Chakotay die?

It's referred to right after they get back, but Harry misses a funeral within the last four years.

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPY BIRTHDAY!

And... showing would have helped, yeah! Seven's death scene might have been rather powerful if done right. And I'm sure any kind of friendship J/C had probably went straight in the can after that.

I don't think we're told when, why, or how Chakotay died. Could have been from heartbreak, or illness... or... anything, really. He might have even survived to the end of the trip (the fact that he has a grave marker in the AQ leads me to believe he prolly died there.)

Even then, though - showing would have helped the story, but not solved the problem, IMO. The circumstances just weren't dire enough to change that much history. Like, if they were preventing a disaster on a huge scale a la "Future's End," I could see that.

Thank you.

It's tomorrow. :)

I love this look.

Its so bittersweet.

But consider; she's looking at B'Elanna, talking about
Miral, while planning to save Seven & Chakotay & Tuvok and 22 nameless other crewmen.

Bittersweet is all she's got left.

Happy Birthday Eve, HBL... in case I forget tomorrow. :alienblush:

Re: When did he die?

I got the feeling Chakotay died when Harry Kim was on that 4 year deep space mission. The way he apologized to her for missing the funeral during that opening party, not to mention the way she turned away and couldn't look at him suggested THAT funeral was even more important to her than all the other ones. :weep:

Then again... I am and always will be a rabid J/Cer... and can usually rationalize things to work in my favor. :p

And I can forgive Admiral Janeway for changing time to save her foster daughter, her foster brother and her would be lover... BECAUSE in doing so she (inadvertantly) killed the FREAKING BORG QUEEN!!!!!! :techman: :techman: :techman:

You can't tell me THAT didn't save untold millions if not billions of lives! :bolian: :bolian: :bolian:

WELL... since I don't do gin, and since I thought I would take the day off to just watch all the JANEWAY scenes in all 170 eps of VOYAGER... I was afraid I might forget to drop by and partake of the JIBALIAN FUDGE CAKE that Neelix is baking in her honor.

;)
