I'm looking forward to Booster but I totally agree it should have been much earlier in the show's run. Selling the farm aside, they are doing very little in the final episodes to get him to be Superman or to set up the "battle" against Darkseid.
What's to set up? This is Smallville. The entire encounter will take one short scene where Clark acts emo, shoves Darkseid, and defeats him thusly. Then they move on like nothing happened.

Five minutes, tops.

Yeah they've not done a good job at pacing the "fight" against Darkseid at all. I have no sense of danger or impending doom because of all the filler episodes in between the plot related episodes. This is typical "Smallville".

well if they are doing booster gold it would be justice league international. all this episode would need is guy gardner. played by christian slater. and then christian bale guest stars as bruce wyane.

What? This has nothing to do with JLI timothy. Booster comes from the future and starts advertising himself as a hero which brings him to Clark's attention. This is pretty much his origin story with a Smallville twist.

Five minutes is a little two generous. 30-45 seconds would fit more. Darkseid is reigning havoc and Clark comes running in with one of those slow-mo/fast-mo punches that knock the Darkseid right out of whomever he's occupying.

It's ridiculous that Clark has decided that after three years of working at the Daily Planet to start acting like a bumbling fool. Apparently his DP co-workers are even dumber in Smallville than in the comics. They'll eventually not be able to tell who Superman is because of cheap glasses and won't be noticing Clark's bizarre behavior.

I never really watched Lois and Clark but I do recall an episode promo where the villain takes off his glasses and goes something like "Now I'm going to be Superman!"

The first (and pretty much only) time I ever read about Booster Gold and Blue Beetle in a comic is when Doomsday arrived and beat the living shit out of them and the JLA during the Death of Superman storyline. Good stuff. I know Blue Beetle had a pretty famous scene with Maxwell Lord a few years ago.

^ Ted will be mentioned in this episode. That was the Justice League International that Doomsday tore through during his rampage towards Metropolis. Booster has become a somewhat popular character since then and his ongoing series is awesome, his lineage is also very interesting :)

the only reason I mention JLI was because I love booster and since they all ready did a JSA senerio why not the JLI it would be awesome. Looking forward to tonight. booster is from the future but farther down the line than the legion right?

No Booster is from the 25th century. He stole a Legion flight ring from Brainy in a museum though including an old Legion flight belt. The flight ring reference will be in the episode as well which I'm very happy about. There is no JLI currently established in the Smallville universe since meta-humans have only started surfacing.

I actually agree with Lois here, Clark's disguise over Superman has always been more than "just glasses" and really been his entire act and persona that separates him.
