US fans - New episodes start April 23

It's about time!

Geez it seems like it's been off the air for years.

Waiting is NOT cool.

There's only one thing I don't like about the new Doctor Who season. Crapcast doesn't have BBC America in HD for some reason. :(

^ When I moved about a year ago, I had Dish Network. Where I moved didn't have a SW facing and at that particular time Dish didn't have satellite(s) to the SE.

I ended up with the aforementioned Crapcast, and hated that they didn't have BBCA HD.

So I was talking to the Dish tech that lives in my building about 6 months ago, and he says they had (at that point) sats to the SE, so I switched back faster than hell.

Not just because of BBC HD, but because I hated Crapcast cable TV & the crappy box/DVR too.

Go DISH, if you can.

The thing is I don't mind if it's in HD or not. However, because I have the HD set up, the picture is going to be really small on a big TV and doesn't look very good (Unless I zoom in or something). Just wish they got with the times and brought us an HD channel for BBC America though, like they have with all the other channels.

I have one pair of friends who get BBC America. Their house has been the designated Doctor Who viewing house ever since "The Next Doctor." Sadly, they'll be moving soon. They're not moving away. (Actually, they're moving closer to me.) But they don't want a lot of guest hanging around while they're in the moving process. Helluva timing they've got! They had an 8 month hiatus to get this taken care of beforehand! No to mention another hiatus in 7 weeks!

Shame he didn't go last year.

*tsk* The nerve of some people. :klingon::lol:

And on this end, the modem is warmed up, ComCast is paid off, and no word of any major storms this weekend. So we're good to go.

Arthur Darvill's first visit to New York

Shame he didn't go last year.

Sorry Arthur. Artichoke's is not the best pizza in NY and that thing you ate on a bun is NOT a New York hot dog. For a NY hot dog, you can go two ways, a dirt-water dog off a corner cart or Nathans in Coney Island (in Brooklyn). For Pizza, Original Ray's, or almost any pizza place in Brooklyn (again).

True. But as good as Nathan's is, the best hot dogs in the world are in upstate New York at Ted's. (And I just happen to live a mere 4 miles away from their Tempe, AZ location, the ONLY Ted's Hot Dogs outside of upstate New York! :D )

Hey, hey, don't kill him. He obviously got bad advice. I wouldn't know what to tell him.

Hey not me. I'm out is Seattle, so I'd be happy with even bad NY pizza.

Just pointing out that New Yorkers take their pizza (and hot dogs) VERY seriosly.

God help whomsoever dares to start a wildfire on Saturday and makes me go to work...

Schedule is clear otherwise and so the Ware boys (and the women of the house if they so choose) will be firmly settled on "Super Couch" with sodas and fresh popcorn in hand... My 10 year old has really taken to Dr. Who in the last year and is almost as excited as I am...

So.. What are y'all's plans for viewing? Anything special besides the show itself? Drinking games? Take a shot everytime the Doctor says "Cool..."
