X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

The yellow looks great and how do you know that Scott didn't make that "Yellow spandex" comment in direct reference to the old uniforms? He probably wore them ;)

The yellow costumes have always been dorky, which is why there wasn't much outrage when Singer replaced them with black leather. They certainly weren't iconic like Superman, Batman and Spider-Man.

I didn't think the new posters were that bad, they're at least better than the silhouette ones. And I like the yellow uniforms myself, I think they actually managed to pull of a retro comic book look, without being overly cheesy.

^ It would look better if it weren't so obviously photoshopped. The pic of Mystique that I posted and you quoted Broc looks like it is photoshopped into the poster. Fox must be on a budget or something.

The posters are okay, I just wish they could be a bit more creative. And who is the tiny teeny itsy bitsy guy allll the way in the baaaack of the one poster? Geez.

But anyhoo, I have an analysis dilemma. Is the up close inside the X-jet scene with Magneto and Xavier while he's raising the submarine the same up close of when he raises the submarine at the end of the original trailers- just reversed or with a different filming angle? It seems kind of similar like to me. As opposed to another piece of the same event, it looks like the same event from a different camera angle. Do you think the editors of the trailer had incomplete scenes to use or used scenes that were cut one way and then re-edited another way the next time around? Man, can you imagine if there already alternate takes for this movie?

Who has the smarts for photographic evidence?

Anway, just me being totally anal while we wait for more magic! ;D

That fur bikini looks horrible, and this girl has no idea how to be sexy. Having hips would help. She has none. And why is she making a face like she just smelled something bad?

Looks like something out of Ringo Starr's Caveman movie.

..and they stand out.
Which is part of the problem if your supposed to be a covert team comprised of a species hated and feared by the general public. In order to keep the students at the school safe, the public isn't supposed to know the X-Men exist. The last thing you'd want to do is make them stand out.

I wouldn't be surprised if wearing yellow ends up being a mistake and why they switched in later years to all black.

Yeah, she does seen like she's playing dress up in mommys clothes than owning it as her own sexiness.

The uniforms in the film are similar to those worn in the original 1960s X-men comics (and seen ocassionally since then, most notably in the early 90s when the team was largely split up, presumed dead and so on).

The yellow spandex joke was actually probably a reference to Wolverine's 70s, 90s and pretty much current yellow costume, which is still pretty silly looking IMO (Will they ever bring back the brown one?) and not those uniforms.

Yes, we all know that's what it was metatextually, but what I think Admiral Young was suggesting is that in-universe, perhaps Scott's intention was to refer to these uniforms.
