nothing spoilery, but it did get me thinking this is similar to the entire plot of The Christmas Carol,where the Doctor rewrote Sardicks life.

Cant help but wonder if this will happen to River at some point.

and yes I know RTDs touched on it a little bit with Farthers Day, but that wasnt a big change.

That makes a lot of sense. The crack affected everything about Amy. It also opened up a theme that Moffat obviously wants to explore in that "time can be rewritten". I suppose that we could see something major happen to River.

It must be weird - she has a family now (parents at least) that she didn't have before, and all the new memories of events associated with them. I wonder if she remembers the life where she was raised only by her Aunt Sharon?

She would remember it in the same way that Rory would remember being plastic, or in the way that the Doctor told young Amelia that she would remember the adventures that Amy had with the Doctor. Dreams and stories.
