Is this art?

My first try at posting a picture. This is the Angel of the North in Gateshead:

See? Easy-peasy. ;)
Thank you for your help, I have always wondered how to post a picture on here; though you do realize now you have shown me how to do this I will be cluttering up the place with pictures of my dogs! :techman:

Here in Cambridge we have quite a few art sculptures around...

This one is quite interesting:

The Corpus Clock
The the Chronophage thing on top looks absolutely terrifying
Look at it.... it looks about ready to eat your soul....

That is a very interesting clock.

Here is a video of Hobart's most famous clock. Unfortunately the sound of the ground almost drowns out the music.

As I mentioned earlier there are a lot of Hans Christian Andersen-themed pieces around town. Right here in the neighbourhood where I live, he also lived, which probably is the reason why I'm able to fit three of those installations in one frame:

The three columns by the entrance to the hotel/casino complex are actually quite complex, filled with imagery from his stories:

I don't know, the graffiti in my neighborhood can be pretty sweet:
That's more along the lines of decorative art than what I was talking about; I was referring to vandalism. Also, anything that includes an homage to Vaughn Bode is okay in my book (there I go, showing my age again :D).

I know this was tongue in cheek, but in all seriousness, art has been a vital part of human life and evolution for as long as we've existed. Even "bad" art is better than no art at all.
The arts and sciences are what make us Human. :mallory:
