Paul Reiser Show Premieres April 14 on NBC

^^ I meant to check this out as well, and if Larry David stops by, so much the better. I didn't mind Mad About You, it wasn't my favorite, but it did have some fun moments. I also like Reiser's stand-up, so I'll have to check this out.
Anyone remember Reiser's first series, My Two Dads? Now that was a bad show.

I doubt we'll see Larry David stop by again.

Larry David playing himself but not his Curb Your Enthusiasm self... That was the best part. The rest was okay.

was there realy a difference in lary david's performance. I mean he acted just like he does on his own shoe. Not realy a big fan of his though I do like sienfield.

Yeah... his Larry David character on Curb is a complete asshole 24/7.

Yeah I don't know why anyone can like that show. He's an ass.

He's an exaggerated version of George Costanza, which he was the model for. He's an asshole, sure, but that's only the end product. He has no life skills whatsoever, and as a fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm, the fun of the show is to see what kind of trouble he gets into and how.

Obviously it's popular enough that it's spawned copies, such as this show and HBO's Good Dog.

I think the trend of having comedians play heightened versions of themselves might be an interesting trend. Although I'm not sure anyone can top the insanities that happen on Louis CK.

Just watched it on Hulu. It wasn't horrible, but not worth scheduling the time to watch it every week. Maybe if I'm flipping the channels I'll watch for a few minutes, but thats about it. The scene with Larry David was great, though.

Cancelled after two episodes.

I knew it looked like a turd.
Both episodes were low rated. (The premiere ranked as NBC's lowest-rated in-season comedy series premiere ever with a 1.1/3 in adults 18-49, and the show tumbled 18% to a 0.9/3 last night.) Even ads for The Paul Reiser Show were annoying even though I like him. I understand that NBC's new brass was "reluctant" but felt the network "had to replace" Reiser with Office repeats. An insider just told me: "We were hopeful about Paul’s show but we had to make the decision to protect The Office since we have very important episodes in the coming weeks with Steve Carell’s exit and Will Ferrell’s guest shots.

The first episode was shit. If it hadn't been Paul Reiser's show, it wouldn't have even been aired.

It's the "The (Name of Celebrity) Show" thing again.

The Geena Davis Show (where Geena wasn't even using her name)? Tanked.

The Micheal Richards Show? Tanked.

Bette Midler's "Bette"? Tanked.

Emeril Lagasse's "Emeril"? Tanked.
