I think everyone did. I know I did. Problem for us was the sofa and couch were across from one another, so we grabbed an area rug and used it as the precarious solid rock in the very middle of the lava flow.

Did you also consider it cheating when someone figured out to glide/slide with little rugs in order to cross those wast spaces of solid floor?
That's right! I forgot about that one. 
May have already been posted (please excuse if it has)-- but i hate those stick figure decals on the back of car windows so very much.... i await the day when they show the teenage daughter rolling her eyes (or the mother crouching with a sub-machine gun). So this one rocks:
