Colin Baker in Doctors

The UK daytime show Doctors is on at the minute (runs every weekday between 1:45 - 2:15pm). Colin Baker is appearing in it today. Sadly, he is not playing a Doctor.

Just thought I'd mention it.

I used to watch Doctors. God knows why, it's dreadful. McCoy made an appearance a few years back as an actor who used to play a time-travelling lollipop man, and Nicola Bryant was in it a few months back (looking phwoar as ever). I'm fairly sure Colin's been in it before this as well.

Thing is, there was a phase where it was really quite good. Back when the regulars were Fenton, West, George, Ronnie, and Vivian, it delivered a pretty good half hour of television for the most part. It pretty much plummetted when Nick West started walking and immediately got flattened by a truck though. Is that awful brummie bitch receptionist and her vile family still in it?

^ Don't know. I only know that cop, who used to be in Coronation Street and turned out to be Emily Bishop's husband's killer. And the gay doctor with the glasses who looks like a friend of mine.

If it's the same copper, it's the awful brummie bitch's husband. The gay doctor's a pretty good and well acted character, I think. And Heston. It's a couple of good, well acted characters that kept me watching long after it became dismal rubbish.

I only started watching it because my mother did. Poor woman still does as well. She knows it's shite, but she just can't break the habit.

^ I hope my wife's not your mother or there'll be a serious row tonight.
unlikely, my mother is single, but isnt looking.

Best way to break the habait would be for it to move to Channel 5, she dropped Neighbours quickly after that.

I still watch Neighbours. I stopped watching for a time when it was at its all time low, but it's been quite good for the past year or so. Not up to the heights it was when I was a young boy watching it, but entertaining nonetheless.

my point was hat if you move something to Channel 5, people will probaly stop watching it.

Channel Five doesn't carry the stigma it used to. Especially since they started just calling it Five.

Neighbours is the best thing on it, mind.

what about now its called Channel 5 again?

The best thing on Channel 5 is the CSI franchise, but I agree it has a few others good shows.

It even has Thomas The Tank Engine now.

as for BBC 3, I like Good News as well, Junior Doctors is doing well at the moment..

The problem with BBC 3, is that its highest rated show is the EastEnders repeat most days.
