Series 6 teaser!

ok this may have already been mentioned by I had t he trailer on my PVR, and played it at 1/4 speed, the only thing I noticed worth mention is when River is shooting (around 23 seconds) she is in the Lodger TARDIS.

River in the Lodger Tardis, Amy and Rory in 9/10's Coral Tardis, man-oh man!

The voice does sound a bit like The Beast a bit. That was Gabriel Woolf (also Sutekh in Pyramid of Mars), but as far as I know he's not been cast in the season.

It is also possible the voice has been altered so to not give it away.

"Fear me. I've killed hundreds of Time Lords."
"Fear me. I've killed all of them."

Oh, the Doctor's proud of that now, is he? Gone are the days when he'd quietly shuffle in and right injustice, now he spends all his time shouting about how hard he is like Phil fucking Mitchell.

I doubt he was boasting that he killed his people...he was stating how dangerous a person he is and quite frankly the Doctor is extremely dangerous and capable of everything.

My god, You will jump on anything...The Doctor is clearly being threatend with his life by some being so am sure The Doctor was just throwing the comment back without taking pleasure in the fact he killed all his people.

He's hardly shouting it.

In fact, he's saying it softly. A sad but ever present truth.

I like the idea of seeing old, badly done monsters given a new lease on life *cough*Rani*cough* I for one always liked the concept of the Nimon. Problem is RTD already did a very similar creature with the swarm from Planet of the Dead.

Hmm. You mean, back in 2009, when the 8-year-olds who make up Doctor Who's core audience were 6 -- in other words, a quarter of their liftimes ago?

Let's face it, DW repeats itself all the time. No biggie.

Wow, that is pretty exhaustive. Thank you for sharing this.

Some interesting speculation in there such as:

1) The bearded Doctor is much older version of The Eleventh Doctor

2) Not only is the shot of the shipwreck part of a ship graveyard and that it's featured in Neil Gaimain's episode (and the silhouettes are The Doctor and Idris), but also that "The Doctor's Wife" is in reference to the TARDIS (which I have to say I really like).

3) Not speculation but I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised to find out that Marshall Lancaster (aka Chris Skelton on Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes) is going to appear in the aforementioned shows co-creater Matthew Graham's two-parter. I'm quite stoked about that! But not only that, Daniel Mays shows up in another episode. Between these two and John Simm, the obvious question is when the hell does Philip Glenister appear!?

Overall, some great speculation about what appears when and how. Makes me all the more excited! :D

I assumed the shipwreck was from the pirate episode which is before Gaiman's? Unless they segue into one another?

Daniel Mays? Awesome.

It's interesting that he seems to have come out of nowhere in the last year or so and become really high profile. He was good in Made in Dagenham, and it was nice to see him play a regular Joe after Ashes to Ashes. He was the best thing about Outcasts (and I say that as someone who thought there were a lot of great things about Outcasts...)

The first thing I recall seeing him in was an episode of Hustle, series before last, so he's only been on my radar 18 months if that.

It seems to me that the pirate episode is strictly pirate-y while that shipwreck looks more futuristic.
