May I recommend you get yourself a copy of Earth In The Balance -- the recycled pages make a delightful toilet paper
Yet I bet you couldn't verbalize without looking it up what it is about the book that bothers you so much apart from Al Gore being its author.
It's too bad that most modern conservatives have staked out the opposition viewpoint to climate change to such a degree that they now have a ridiculous knee-jerk reaction to any type of conservation, environmentalism, or recycling, even though Republicans of the past like Teddy Roosevelt, Barry Goldwater, and Richard Nixon made great strides in those areas.
Even if you don't believe in man-made climate change, isn't recycling, conservation, and protecting the environment a good thing anyway? Why do you have so much hostility to the idea in general?
I thought that toilet paper comment is a joke.
So I did a footprint test and it basically told me I was an asshole and that TWO AND A HALF earths were needed to sustain my lifestyle.
All that and never had A/C in my life. Eat meat less than once a week, no car, blah blah.. .
Maybe I will just cave and get the A/C this summer. Seeing as how I'm already an eco destroyer. Might as well Rambo it up since there was not a single thing I picked I would change.

I half believe you may be right. We're revisiting the 70s this year, so we're headed in the right direction to be wearing actual garbage by next year.

If you do, base it on Haider Ackermann's Autumn 2011 gowns; the scrunchy/messy black leather and silk of some of the looks would lend itself perfectly to black binbags.
I've always been very wary about that carbon-footprint stuff...

I am apparently 4.45 earths, which means I eat puppies and run over children. I don't drink blood, but that's only because it would support recycling, something I apparently hate.

Yeah, I live with 2 other people, and while my own habits are more space saving/green, one of the people I live with can't help but require what she does.

You're right of course; Sainsbury's bags make for a much more springtime colour. Save the black bags for the autumn.
