Experimenting with greenscreen

Here's a couple of short anims I made for my fan film series ST:Armada using sketchup models against a green background then superimposed over an animation I made in flash. I learned how to work with green screen form watching a few youtube tutorials

Not bad, although greenscreen isn't generally used for computer generated graphics, as you would render off an alpha channel to achieve the same thing (But I've never used Sketchup, so maybe it can't do that). Either way, it looked good and I couldn't see any problems with it, and it doesn't hurt to learn the techniques. :)

I love how you are always trying new techniques in your animated work, my friend. And, how quickly you grasp the new techniques is extremely impressive. They look great. :-)

The camera movement is a bit jerky, but aside from that it looks brilliant.

Cheers. Yes it is jerky, sketchup wasn't made to be an animation program so I'm taking liberties with it. I chose to keep the black outlines of the ships to give it a drawn animated look to go with the ST:Armada series

Its only at the 7 and 18 second marks that there is a noticeable "jump", the rest of it is silky smooth though. If you can do that, surely theres a way to smooth out the bumps?
