^^Since the British airdate hasn't been announced yet, maybe Space is just waiting for that?
And you still don't have Thanksgiving, right? Is that still strictly an American/Canadian thing?
I think it's funny when people look to the US dates for an estimate of the UK airings. I wonder if they'll ever give up that practice.
And you still don't have Thanksgiving, right? Is that still strictly an American/Canadian thing?
Yes it is a North American thing, if you thought that we over here celebrated it, do you even know why you celebrate it?
Wait, you mean they don't celebrate 4th of July over there in the UK either?

I'm sorry, Dimesdan. I shouldn't be laughing, but my gosh that was hilarious. And you're right, too many people forget their own history.

Before the film of V for Vendetta, I'd say, conservatively, that 99 percent of Americans had never heard of Guy Fawkes. That's a conservative estimate. No problem at all, it just seemed a really randomly stupid question. It's like asking if Americans celebrate Fireworks night. It's obvious to most over here you don't, but then you have the odd person who asks.
I'm sure, in his later years, George III had cause to reconsider the importance of Horatio Hornblower's birth.Ah yes, the day that "nothing very important happened" according to the then King, George III.We call it "Good Riddance Day"Wait, you mean they don't celebrate 4th of July over there in the UK either?

You haven't heard? Oh, man. I'm sorry. Both Australia and New Zealand announced a few days ago that they are going to air series six as one continuous season later this fall, instead of following the UK and splitting them up. Apparently they will be getting the DVD of the half-season sometime in August, though.
Couldn't wait for April Fool's Day to do this, then you'd know right away ... it's a joke.
