"Tattoo"

Rom's Sehlat

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
The reason I started this thread: Kes said the Doctor has never experienced pain. But in a prior episode where the Doctor was stuck in the holodeck, he experienced pain. He got a minor cut and was slapped in the face. So he did experience pain, even if it was superficial.

So Chakotay finally finds his sky spirits-- they're just Delta Quadrant humanoid natives who took a generational journey to Earth to recruit some Neanderthals to join their cult, complete with a tattoo (that hasn't changed in 2000+ years...) and random swirly circle symbols.
