Dr Who-Comic Relief March 18th!! (spoilers!)

Loved it. I can't get enough of this Tardis crew. I know that everyone tends to really love Ten and his companions, especially Rose, but the character dynamic between Eleven, Amy and Rory is pure gold. It's fun to watch.

Frankly, why can't adventure be fun? It seems some people can't appreciate humor in their TV-SF ... or fun. I've had enough of the dour science fiction that takes it self too damn seriously.

As for Rory causing the problem in the mini-episode ... he's a guy who's gotten married recently to a woman he is both in love with and attracted to. Yeah, he's going to look up her skirt and get distracted.

When characters act like people, fans get pissed. When characters act don't act like people, fans get pissed. The eternal Catch-22 of fanbois.

I like it when characters create problems for themselves by just being people ... or themselves.

what about Dimensions in Time? can we hate that?
I think that it's obligatory to do so.
I think even EastEnders fans hate it, those that can remember it, I certainly dont see EastEnders fans talking about it, like Doctor Who fans do, if they even mention it at all.

EastEnders fans don't have a message board where they debate inane ideas about their show and get into constant arguments over whether a commercial with characters from their show REALLY HAPPENED, or how old certain characters are, or whether their favorite characters are gay?

Man, how do they pass the time?

^ They watch more Eastenders. They also have social lives, which they spend chatting about Eastenders. :)

you know of Digital Spy then?

Oh...my....god....

"...where she said there was a sudden house."
"Because it was my skirt, my husband, and your glass floor."
"Pond, put on some trousers."

:guffaw:

I was dying laughing, especially during the second part. Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant.

Also pretty damn funny.

It was ok.

Dimensions in time however was appalling. And the 3D effect just didn't work, and the plot was unfathomable. I remember more about Pauline Fowler talking about her Arther and the futuristic train on the bridge than any of the Dr Who elements.

only a miseryguts can't even like a charity episode.

No. Sorry, no one is allowed to dislike the only on-screen pairing of Six and the Brig. Deal with it.

I don't despise Dimensions in Time as some people do, but if that's the only reason people cling to, I will refer them to The Spectre of Lanyon Moor instead. That audio was actually what I chose to use to commemorate the Brig's passing.

I loved this! It wasn't laugh out loud funny, but it was cute!

Wish the Doctor had mentioned though that this has happened before (TARDIS within a TARDIS)

Karen is the cutest companion ever, what a beautiful women. I want to see lots and lots more of her, she better stick around for a long time :P

Mmh, I don't think it would have really fitted into the flow of dialogue. Or it was revenge for that story (The Time Monster) not acknowledging that the Doctor had already been to Atlantis (after it had sunk) before. ;)
It's quite possible writers often aren't as aware of all the stories as some fans are. It would be interesting to know whether Moffat was inspired by that episode to do this TARDIS within a TARDIS thing or whether he came up with it independently.

Considering Moffat's past I wouldn't be surprised if he came up with the story independently. It's meant to be a one-off story anyways.

Meanwhile its gotten absolutely hilarious over at GB, with everyone in a fine lather about how dirty and inapropriate for children the show has become.
