Dr Who-Comic Relief March 18th!! (spoilers!)

a bit like Time Crash, but not as good, I fear there will never be a mini as good as Time Crash.

Flirty ponds was funny, and I admit I had wondered that about the floor in the TARDIS as well, glad it wasnt the Amy fest the papers made it out to be.

Does Amy not own a mirror?

If you've ever watched video of yourself, you know full well that seeing yourself in person is very different from seeing yourself in a mirror.

It was also a riff on when the Tenth Doctor got a good look at the Fifth Doctor in Time Crash.

Really funny, although I don't like this trend of them 'pulling a Bill & Ted' to save the day. Bad enough the Doctor let himself out of the Pandorica.

Also, please turn the music DOWN. I can't hear a goddamn thing. As usual.

Check the sound mix on your TV or computer. I've never had a problem and I've actually got partial hearing loss.

As for the "Bill & Ted" comparison, remember Bill and Ted copied Doctor Who. And there's plenty of hard time-travel SF out there long predating B&T that used similar formulas.

Alex

Fair enough. But how many instances before...let's say "Blink"...did Doctor Who have Bill & Ted style time travel? As in, giving yourself the answer, needing to repeat things as you saw them when they happened to you, etc.

I have not seen the whole of Doctor Who, not by a long shot, but I've seen a lot, and the Time Travel to me has always been portrayed as a lot more relaxed. You're not in danger of changing history, you don't have to worry about stepping on butterflies, and you can't use the TARDIS to go back in time to help yourself out five minutes ago.

At least, that's what I have always seen. Any non-Moffat examples to the contrary?

I will let Moff off on the Bill and Ted style time jiggery pokery because this was a couple od mini episodes for charity...

...and absolutely not because Amy got to flirt with herself

Haha, I thought it was funny. Though I don't like the continued use of the doctor going back to save himself, its only a mini-comic relief episode.

To bad touching herself would cause giant bats to appear and eat everyone! ;)

I dont think its unnatural to think yourself attractive, I have a passport sized photo of myself in my wallet (just in case I should need it) and sometimes I look at it, and think what a handsome chap I am.

At first I thought they were gonna do the cliched joke about thinking yourself ugly but when Amy started flirting with herself and Rory's reaction to it...just brilliant.

Some absolute nonsense happens because Rory looked up Amy's twat, and it's solved with the wibbly lever. Complete fucking shit.

How dark and cold is your soul? Is your heart dead inside? ;)

When they show me something good, I'll give it a good review.

Also, I probably liked The Beast Below more than you did. H8rs.
