Thanks for the picsHadn't seen some of those before, though one I think is from the Roots:Next Gen thingy? Feel I've been a bad noob militant Janeway but wanted to sign in to show devotion. Been catching up on various BBS threads (how did I not know this site existed?) and stuff on youtube. Great con stuff of Kate with Picardo, Phillips, Russ etc which shows how real the bond was between those guys. I always felt - perhaps sentimentality - that VOY had the best dynamic between actors/crew, even moreso than TOS, DS9 and ENT all of which I love. You just felt all these people liked working together and respected each other.

And I know that sentiment, let's see it's been 16 years since Voyager started so that's how long I've been a fan and this has definitely been around since 2004 and I only found it this past August out of pure boredom.
That and I had been re-watching Voyager/DS9/TNG for like six-seven weeks around that time.
Yep, it's been done. A few times. Not that it's bad to do it again.
My personal faves: the french twist she had for two or three episodes but they axed because it was "too hard to maintain" but then they turned around and gave it to Seven, the ponytail in season three, which I have heard called the power ponytail, and her season 5 hairdo I thought it was really flattering.

thank you. It's like when you find someone who 'gets' you. I only know the Roots show from very bad 3rd gen copies, but hey, better than nothing. And not as if networks making anything similar now. I don't even know how stumbled across this site, but glad I did. You can't believe how nice it is to find people who are prepared to debate/take the rise out of Trek, but who fundamentally love and get it. Esp. VOY and Janeway, which I was always made to feel was like being nice to the 'special' relative. Janeway was always 'eeurgh...how could you...?'. I shall direct them here in future

Whatever his faults, always felt Chakotay was honorable. But as have learned from experience, that's not always most appealing characteristic.

No one was good enough (per series). But he seemed good enough to me. Strong, dependable, reliable, willing to listen and acquiesce. Is it that classic case of she was in charge, so she either needed someone who can boss, or some one who could boss her, but not an equal? And this is not frippery; this is really important re: command structure...

J/Jaffen was pretty cool, I agree. It would have been kinda nice if he stayed along for the ride and came back to Earth and everything. It also works because he seriously looks and acts just like Mark (which I assume was on purpose.)
Her hair is gorgeous. All light and fluffy.
He should have came back with them. Technically he would have been a crewmember so it would have been just fine for them to be together.
I think Jaffen was to distract the viewers from Chakotay since that episode was probably in the process of being written at the time. But if it was, why leave the episode open still for the J/C romance.
Plus I just love James Read, he played the dad on Charmed and he was brilliant.
