Actually her FBI "chums" are with Project Aries, not the Fifth Column. Different groups.
Same degree of convenience.

seem to recall the egg's development being accelerated. It hatched not as a baby, but fully grown. Lisa probably matured naturally. Lisa 2 did not.
Which is all very convenient.

Human children can't kill adults with their bare hands by strangling them, which made Amy's ability to strangle daddy a bit...weird. It made me stop and go, "huh." Well designed alien species don't make you stop and wonder if the rules make sense. They just have rules that do make sense.

Marcus' loyalty to his queen would include confessing his sin. Anna absolved him, for the moment, but made it quite clear what would happen next time.
Again...convenient.

Looking back, I forgot to comment on the Visitors' appearance; they have a bizarre insectoid rather than reptilian body structure, having a narrow waist separating an upper and lower thorax.

I wonder why Ryan couldn't defend himself against his daughter. He should have a pointed tail, too.

That sounds like something that would be done. Erica doesn't know Tyler is dead. If Anna is suspicious of her, I could see Anna skinning someone to look like Tyler. They could get some play out of that before the doppelganger gets discovered and dispatched with, by either side.

They haven't shown the ability to make a skin identical to a particular human (just identical to another V). It would be rather odd if the first such example was a copy of Tyler rather than, say, a president or prime minister...but I guess anything's possible.

If the V's can produce tissues that resemble human skin, they can certainly clone skins that look like a particular human being. How else could Anna look like Morena Baccarin, or Diana look like Jane Badler, or Lisa like Laura Vandervoort, etc.? :p

It requires a bump in the skill-set. Plus, if they do have that ability: it begs the question of why they don't already control most of the human political and socio-economic infrastructure (after decades of infiltration)... Though, I suppose they should have been able to do that anyway at least on the economic side (with the gradual introduction of their technology)...

If you want to find fault, you'll always find fault.

I choose to enjoy the show.

I believe they established that only the females have the tails.

And I doubt Ryan would've killed his daughter, even in self-defense.

Tyler's gone. Well that blows. :( Was I the only one who liked him? C'mon, he was seriously pretty. At least, with the longer hair. Downgrade with the buzzcut short hair, but still pretty, and looks great with his clothes off. a*hem* anyway.

wtf was up with killing Diana? Consistent with this series, but majorly wrong. She should have gone to Earth and joined Fifth Column.

Ryan's dead. No loss there.

So, Michael left? Ok, not Michael, but that was his name in Xena, and I couldn't be bothered with remembering his name here, the big old creepy terrorist guy blondie was boffing.

I gave it an excellent entirely for the ending ... Humanity is seriously fucked. I like it.

I don't think they want to resort to "replacing" human leaders with Visitors just like the Founders replaced certain people on DS9; they simply don't see the need to. The Visitors already have agents everywhere, from the FBI to the Vatican to the local police, etc. It's important to point out that if they wanted immediate control of our planet, they would've launched a massive invasion in the first place. Instead, they like to work in the shadows by means of infiltration.

It was an okay episode, but what saved it for me? Two Laura Vandervoorts = Automatic Win.

Expecting from Lisa that she would kill her mother? Majorly stupid decision on the Fifth Column's part. Lisa is too weak. Always has been. And I never expected for a second that she would actually manage to go through with the plan. This makes Erica indirectly responsible for the death of her own son, I suppose. Since her moronic command decisions are getting people killed, I'm glad that Mike Donovan is in charge of the resistance again. :p

Or maybe he's not, if the show's cancelled. I don't really care either way. The show's mindless fun, but not much more.

At the very least, he should have been able to break her grip. Maybe males don't have the tail? Maybe as a hybrid, Amy was super-strong?

I dunno, I won't quibble. Morris Chestnut was never right for the role, so he needed to go, under whatever pretext. But I thought that ending was a bit harsh on the poor guy. He jumped through every hoop imaginable to get his kid born and then try to get her back and protect her, and that's his thanks? I'll bet Chestnut is more than a little steamed how the writers took Ryan out.

Tyler's gone. Well that blows. :( Was I the only one who liked him?
The actor wasn't right for the role - and it was partially how they wrote him (too young, too clueless, too dopey) - but it was also that the actor has an off-putting creepy vibe about him. Which is why I'd like to see him back as Evil V-Tyler, because I think he'd be pretty good at that role. The kid should stick to character-acting gigs with a villainous bent from now on, the guest pedophile on SVU and that sort of thing.

They haven't shown the ability to make a skin identical to a particular human (just identical to another V).

I was thinking they could patch up Tyler's real skin and use that. :rommie: Assuming Lisa 2.0 hasn't chowed down on the whole thing...

If you want to find fault, you'll always find fault.

I choose to enjoy the show.

I choose to praise shows only when they deserve praise and I'm capable of telling the difference between sloppy writing with a lot of contrivances and good writing where the writers can do what they want without resorting to lazy crutches. :rommie:

I had given up on this series last season...but this seals the deal...I am gonna watch this episode! :bolian:

I didn't say anything about praise. I talked about finding fault, if you didn't notice.

It is also possible to be polite and mature or condescending and juvenile.

No emoticon necessary.

I'm guessing that the science guy put all of Lisa's memories into Lisa 2.0 and she was faking it.

This is the best V episode. I thought throughout the show they played it safe and was too predictable. This episode the writers got brave. This was so entertaining I loved it.

wtf was up with killing Diana? Consistent with this series, but majorly wrong. She should have gone to Earth and joined Fifth Column.

I was initially happy to hear about Jane Badler's participation in this series, then disappointed when all she did was sit in her slimy cave like cell talking to Anna and later Lisa. When she finally does make it out of there, she's killed off minutes later.

A great death, yes, but what a total waste of a good actress.

As with 99% of posters here, I felt that Tyler's death (assuming it was real and the show is not coming back) was great. He was easily the worst character on a show with some pretty crappy characters.

Best episode of a very uneven series.

Anyone thinking of Lilah's "You stopped World Peace and the forces of evil want to reward you" speech from the end of season 4 Angel when you saw all those blissed out humans?

I actually didn't, which is weird considering there's a definite parallel to what Jasmine was doing to Los Angeles...I should have made the connection, Angel Season 4 is my favourite season of the series.
