I found the dreams kind of silly and unbelievable. Nobody's dreams are that linear.
I gotta disagree. A large percentage of my dreams are incredibly linear. I've dreamt entire complex stories, from beginning to end. I remember one that was so cinematic in nature that it ended with screen credits!
And, to top it off, I spent the beginning of 2008 in a 6-week long coma, where I dreamt pretty much one long continuous dream, that was so linear in structure and internally self-consistent that upon regaining consciousness, I had some difficulty accepting that the events of that dream hadn't actually happened, despite the fact that the overall "plot" of the dream had been pretty fantastic and other-worldly in nature.
It had simply been so utter realistic in tone and structure.
This dream was so realistic (and long) that I'd get tired within the dream, and dream of going to sleep, wherein I'd dreamt of having dreams (which were totally ordinary dream-like dreams, and not nearly as structured and linear as my primary dream was.). And then I'd dream of waking up, once more re-entering the main dream, just as one normally awakens to the real world.
To this day, my recollection of that dream is indistinguishable from any other memory, save that the bulk of the action took place on a world other than Earth. Unfortunately, there was no real story. Just day-in-the-life stuff. Sufficiently linear and structured to be believable, but no big or significant events that lend themselves to story-telling. I've got a great location to set a story in, which I know pretty intimately from my time there, but still haven't found a story that I can use to really show off this location.
Back on topic: I think the breakup of House and Cuddy will be a good thing. Many people in this thread have complained that the show has gotten a bit "soap-opera-ish" and I think that maybe TPTB realize this, and that scraping the Cuddy - House romance may be an attempt to move the show in a less soapy direction. Then again, they may be planning something far soapier: 13 is about to return at the same time that House is on the rebound. Hilarity ensues.
