ETA: Actually, i do remember one right off the top of my head. We were on tour, it was my first tour with the band. We were all in one hotel room partying, hanging out. And the sound man walks into the room, completely naked. Sat down, started a conversation with me. It was interesting....

Ah, The Naked Man. 2/3rds success rate... guaranteed.

I was single during the 70s. Nuff said.

Nope, not enough said. Not all of us who were single in the 70's fit the stereotype.

I was uber-stereotype. In a rock band. I lived the sex, drugs and rock-n-roll stereotype. And it was awesome.

:adore:

If this thread was a Road Runner cartoon, it would look like this:

Yeoman Randi

(Hottus NewYorkus RockChickus)

Everyone Else

(Morningus Coffeeus Spewus)

:D

I think I've said this before, but congrats on emerging from all that in one piece. :techman:

I can't see myself not going too far and dying young in similar circumstances. Or ending up brain-fucked like Charlie Sheen:ack:.

You're sweet. The truth is, if i hadn't married the rhythm guitarist and settled down, i am quite certain i wouldn't have made it out. That's the truth. I lost a number of friends to the 70s. One, from AIDS (heroin needle sharing, died in the early 90s), 2 from drug ODs. Honestly, i did lose some brain cells, I'm pretty sure of that.
And it really IS difficult to not lose control when you have people willing to throw drugs and their 'affection' at you where ever you go. I lived throught LOTS of ego bullshit (my own and my bandmates)...you can very quickly lose sense of reality and common sense.

But all in all, i really am glad i had the experiences i had. It's been an interesting life.

No doubt:). I only hope I have similar feelings about the path of my own life when I look back in the years to come.

Now, i look back and don't regret a single one. BUT at the time, yeah, there were some that i did.

:guffaw:

Why stop at 11? :p

I was single and newly out as gay in the early '90s and was enjoying fitting the stereotype ..., just for a little while. :mallory: Nuff said.

p.s. - and I love me some Hottus NewYorkus RockChickus too.

Just a few, would have been one more if I had not heeded an obvious red flag. I fooled around with my friend's gf in high school, first girl I ever made out with.

We did not do it during that first rendezvous, but I did stick my finger somehwere a guy might usually stick another appendage. It got puffy and infected and bothered me for months. I decided to punt at that point.

That girl had "Vag of 1,000 Horrors"

Very wise of you but ..., um ..., ewwww. :wtf:

I don't want to be responsible for exploding heads on the BBS.

And for the record, my question about stopping at 11 was directed at the OP, not the lovely Yoeman. I would never ask such a thing of a lady. :p

Ohhh gotcha! Yeah, i wonder why he did stop at that number? And...lady? You must have me confused with someone else!

^
I'm 25 and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone.

I HATE the term slept with. I have "slept with" 15 different guys, most of which I didn't fuck or get fucked by. Sleeping and fucking are two very different things... unless you are a "straight" hispantic guy.

People who pass up casual sex with a cavalier attitude are worse than the people get lots of casual sex.:scream:

(Sour grapes, I assure you.)
Or, conversely, perhaps they are not sluts? I am not impressed by the couple of posters who keep trying to ridicule those who choose not to have sex with anything that moves. It speaks more to their own insecurity. Are they trying to overcome their insecurity by bragging about having meaningless sex? It does make one wonder.

I don't people should be equally divided between sluts and/or prudes anymore than they already are.

Because, obviously there is zero grey area, right? :p

I'm 35 and i had my share. I really had to think a bit over the last 20 years or so since i've been active (and no.. didn't lose my virginity at 15.. i'm counting kissing and petting too as the first steps). I actually had to count using fingers and thought back.. all the one night stands, relationships and affairs and i never thought i'd get up to this number (and no i won't tell :p).

I'm not a ladies man but many of these women i got with by being just me.. on a good day funny and charming and sometimes that's all you need.

Sadly, five.

But before I became single at 29, there was only my first wife. I was single for about three years (so about one a year, but all three relationships lasted longer than 6 months... so no one night stands), and then I met my wife (which was about 12 years ago).

Of the three I didn't marry, I had strong feelings for them (which I would still classify as love today)... so on the plus side, I'd rather think of it as having made love to five very special women rather than just having had sex with them. And I'd like to think I'm a better person for having had each of them in my life.

While I would have liked to have stayed at one, I'm quite happy to stay at five for the rest of my life. :D
