How come Hoshi looks so much hotter in some episodes than others?

I'm watching In A Mirror Darkly part 1 now (thanks to this thread). That first scene where Hoshi walks into Forests' quarters......wow, what a difference attitude makes. Although watching her play tonsil hockey with him was....awkward. Seriously watch IAMD and than the premiere episode. Its like a different woman.

I watched Warlord last night as part of my "watching VOY eps I've avoided for 5 years" plan and I was like.. what?! Kes acting all hot and actually looking attractive?!?! (to me). That just doesn't happen. But she had tons of attitude. She was also playing a male warlord in Kes's body so I guess Kes herself is still in my blah basket, LOL.

I think T'Pol looks GREAT in IAMD with the long hair. Also if you watch ENT chronologically it's quite a shock to see T'Pol all strong and sure of herself in IAMD when in the prime timeline she is really quite shattered and emotionally messed up.

I love elegant, stunning asian ladies.

hoshi ticks all the boxes, she is a special gal.

Worst. Bathing Suit. Ever.

Seriously. What the heck color is it anyway? OLIVE?! eww.. and when I first saw this pic (which looks horrible all round IMHO, pose, facial expression..) I thought "Mylar sanitary pad". Then I noticed the same rectangle artfully () plastered across her top.

I'm still trying to complete my Trek collection, I have 23 of the box sets now, usually pick up 1 or 2 a month. I usually just pick a random disc and watch whatevers on it when I have time to (hard to find with my family and work).

Kes....I dunno. I think she had SOME appeal, but never carried herself with any.....I don't know the word I'm looking for. I want to say confidence?

T'Pol is an interesting case. I think the people who made the show hired her did so in part due to her sex appeal, but I think she turned into one of the best actors on the show.

It is a different woman. ;)

The mirror universe, which is a term I don't like since there are MANY of them, always has the hottest women. Especially for DS9. ENT was no exception.

In fact, I'll go one further and say that anyone who can't see her beauty is almost certainly immature at best.
Exactly. As I said, your unorthodox tastes in women show how wise and sophisticated you are. It's a rare gift.

And I know exactly what it's like. When I was nine years old, unlike other kids, I hated chocolate and knew from the bottom of my heart that kids who liked chocolate were just immature.

Or maybe it's just different people with different tastes.

Dang, you had me going for a minute there! :p

Let me be clear: I'm not saying everyone has to find her attractive to their own tastes. I'd like to posit a subtle difference between inherent beauty and whether or not one personally finds someone attractive/a potential mate. For instance, I don't much find Sato attractive, in large part because I'm just not into the facial bone structures of most Asian women. That said, I can clearly see that Park's a beautiful woman.

It's like teacake said, there's no uglies on TV. Ergo, whether or not one would want to wake up to Hernandez (and boy, would I :bolian:), to fail to acknowledge her beauty is, in my opinion, suspect at best... and very likely immature. ;)

I agree with everything you've just said here, but remember that when teacake first mentioned Hernandez in this thread, it was with the caption "hottest woman on Enterprise".

Failing to acknowledge that woman's beauty is one thing, but "hotness" is a different concept, and like it or not, it's usually associated with youth. I can see why some people would not find her "hot", and I certainly understand why they would not see her as "the hottest".

And by the way, in my opinion, trying to determine which woman is "the hottest" is probably not the best way to express one's maturity.

Yeah, Persis was super hot. I couldn't get into Hernandez either. Reminded me too much of a teacher... not that teacher's turn me off.. just gave off this shrill, sort of... unsexual... demeanor... I didn't get the least bit of sensuality off of her at all.

LOL! That's the secret.

It's internet speak dude. No one actually believes there is a winner to be decided upon.
I know what you mean, but either words have meaning, or they don't.

Language evolves.

I'll break it down for you..

"The hottest woman on ENT" means I personally find her very very hot and would like to put her pics up here so others may also acknowledge her hottness. You see "hottest" is obviously hotter than hot, hence the use of that adjective. It's the superlative adjective so it expresses that I find her epically hot.

Yes words have meaning but they also have context and in this case the context is the internet not a court of law.
